TLDR:
PLAY IT! Avoid spoilers at all costs and immerse yourself. This is an incredible game in every way. It is well worth playing, and the director's commentary is worth a second playthrough. I had a blast getting all of the achievements. My only real gripe is that the PC port is rough, but there are also a few small inconsistencies with graphics even on the PlayStation version, and I ran into a couple of minor bugs.

Longer review:
Don't form your opinion on the story before you play the game. It's best experienced as blindly as possible, in its entirety. The game is shockingly long btw, it took me over 30 hours to finish my first playthrough (I was taking my time though).

The gameplay is a huge step up from the first game, which I already thought was really good. The No Return bonus roguelite mode is a fantastic way to experience more of the combat after you've finished the base game.

My only real complaint is the port itself. It requires some serious tinkering to get running optimally and even then it has some #StutterStruggle issues. It's also a very demanding game, WAY more demanding than it should be given how the game runs on PlayStation consoles and only has better shadows here on PC.

For the most basic essential improvments with the PC port:
1) Go to PCGamingWiki and follow the instructions to disable the sharpening filter
2) Cap the game with an external frame-rate limiter (Special K, RTSS, NVCP, or something else)
3) If you have an HDR display, follow the PCGamingWiki guide to fix the game's HDR - it looks glorious when the HDR is working properly, so it's worth the initial headache. Probably best to just leave HDR on on your PC once you fix it until you're done with the game because the HDR fix will reset if you launch it in SDR by accident
