I played this game on Switch when it first came out and I gotta say that this is a really good port. I've had no issues with the game and the game itself is a solid shoot em up. The only complaint I have is that the game is locked to 1080p and I cant make the resolution go higher than that unless i just missed something.

Overall good game and port

Although it's not perfect, I absolutely love this game. It's just so fun to run around a wide open world and do all kinds of Sonic things. Reminds me of playing Sonic Adventure 1 and running around the hub worlds but expanded upon. The physics can be jank, some of the presentation isn't great, and it can be a little tedious (i dont recommend bingeing this game, take breaks after each world!) but all of that doesnt matter to me because it's so fun.

Also the music is godlike, especially the boss themes.

I’ve been stuck in the Project DIVA fandom since 2015 with the release of f 2nd on the Playstation 3. Since then i have put hundreds of hours between the older games, and the newest one, Project DIVA MegaMix on the Nintendo Switch. I’ve been playing this series for years so I was over the moon when i saw this surprise release on Steam today.

When comparing this updated PC release with the Nintendo Switch version, I am happy to say that this version of the game does nothing but add extras and is an overall upgrade from that version (except for one issue which i will get to)

If you havent played a Project DIVA game before, it’s pretty simple. Notes come flying on the screen and it is your job to hit the corresponding note with the appropriate button on your controller (or keyboard) in time to the music. A simple game to pick up but a hard one to master.

Some of the features that this version includes are some nice changes and extras. The ability to change visual styles from the Future Tone style to the Megamix style is a welcome addition for people who prefer one over the other. Faster loading times compared to the Switch version is also really nice although it’s a given.

The one thing that’s holding this back from being the perfect port is the somewhat unstable performance. Although i have not had any audio desyncs i have had a few cases of stuttering mid song. Although it didnt ruin my experience of the whole game, this stuttering and other performance issues are unacceptable. This game ran fine on the Switch, why can’t it run properly 100% of the time on PC?

Aside from that issue, Project DIVA Megamix + is the best way to play the game on PC. With the potential of mods on the way to fix potential issues and have custom songs, i can only see this getting better over time. And even now, the amount of content for the $60 version of the game is astounding

Fun, fast pased, and difficult is what this game is, and luckily it's not frustrating or bad. Great music, funny cartoon humor and the great lever design along with the beat em up style gameplay makes this a joy for anyone who wants to kick back and play or for the hardcore.
