Be aware that yes, this game IS very solid indeed. This "review" is more of a eulogy for both a once-respected Video Game developer and a Community Member within said company, who had passed away 3 years ago.



Mike Watson worked tirelessly, in spite of his condition. What ended up (for the time being) a patch mod for the game, with him hoping that Volition devs would eventually integrate the code into the game itself without the need of the mod.
Mike Watson died at the company he was hired in, while Volition danced above his grave with a garbage truck of a game, and concurrently not integrating said patch mod.
The hard work of Mike "IdolNinja" Watson would all end up for nothing once Volition was deemed "a lost cause" by the Embracer group and was subsequently shut down.[www.polygon.com] Meaning any attempts of integrating "Gentlemen of the Row" into the game itself also lost.
Volition's cracks were already showing back at "Agents of Mayhem", further exacerbated by "Gat out of Hell", then finally reaching fever pitch with both the announcement of the reboot of Saints Row and Mike Watson's death would be a critical blow.
When there's no more room in hell, that's because this company had shown up down in the 7th circle of hell.

Mike Watson died for nothing.

Well, to quote a movie from my favorite Disney Animated Film, Disney's Hercules:

With this game's release (and eventual purchase) on STEAM, I've completely rendered my PSVita a redundant console for my JRPGs and and is now an expensive paperweight.


But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, retaining the use of Custom BGMs (a staple of SRW Z3) and the HD graphics (bar the battle animations locking to 30 FPS) is worth the purchase.... obviously on a Steam Sale™.
