Get this game, play on Lethal difficulty. If you're a fan of black and white samurai movies, turn on "Kurosawa Mode" in the settings. Dare I say this game is as close to a perfect Samurai/Ninja game we will likely ever get. I'm nearly 70 hours in, and I've only just now completed my first 100% playthrough of the main story and started the DLC story.

Do you like exploring? Do you like space ship combat? Do you like cataloging plant and animal life? What about collecting vehicles? Building vehicles? Investigating derelict ships? Being a space pirate? A game world so big that you literally can't visit every planet within the human lifespan? If you answered yes to any of these, shut up and buy the game already. You're wasting time continuing to read the reviews.

Early Access Review
Genuinely a fun game. If you've ever played Unturned and State of Decay, this game has similar "hot spots" where overly powerful zombies will spawn, with the objective being to kill said zombies to get the best loot the game has to offer. No multiplayer and little lore, but it has been made public knowledge that both of these issues are to have their own updates later in development. Overall, I think this game is well worth the money, especially with the potential for coop later on once multiplayer is added.

Got one on Ebay since these haven't been sold by valve for like 5 years. I can easily say this is the best controller experience I've ever had. My SINGULAR gripe with the controller is having only one joystick. I understand why there is only one, but I can't see it as being absolutely necessary to only have one. If Valve ever does a steam controller 2.0 I would adamantly recommend them to keep the general shape layout, but add a second joystick for the right side.

I especially like the shape of the actual grips. I have issues with existing controller shapes like Xbox and Playstation, where my hands cramp up if I use them for more than 15 to 20 minutes at a time. With the extra mass on the top side of the grips, my hands can comfortably use the controller for what I assume is near indefinitely. I sat down for a two hour period playing CS2 and I didn't have any discomfort to speak of during the entire session.

Absolutely DO NOT buy this game if you are looking to save your PC from unoptimized hell. Game uses 100% of CPU, RAM, and GPU on the lowest intensity settings. I have done every ounce of troubleshooting I can think of.
Edit: My playtime was back around 2022, the game ran fine back then. Now it feels like CP2077 or even Jedi: Survivor on their launch days.

Absolutely phenomenal game in every sense of the word. Rich story, fantastic graphics, amazing gameplay, and countless branching paths with each action or dialogue choice which ensures no two play-throughs are completely the same. Recommended that everyone give this game a try. If you aren't a fan of turn-based combat games, at the time of writing this, there is a mod that changes the game to real time combat.
