I have enjoyed this game so far. It does borrow some themes from a certain grim distant future and speedier than light. But do not dismiss this game because of it. I can see the devs continuing to add content and encounters into the near future!

Early Access Review
I recently played the table top version of this, and found it a perfect blend of all the features of a board game I like. When I learned there was a digital version, I immediately purchased and find that Dire Wolf has done a fine job in adapting this for digital play.

The polish on this game is done, and it is only improving. I found the AI a good challenge even just on normal.

I look forward to the expansions and encourage anyone interesting in table top or this game to give in a purchase.

If you liked fallout 1 and 2, you will very likely like this game.

I enjoy the historical accuracy of the total war series, including Rome 2. I do NOT like other agenda's being thrust upon my enjoyment. If the setting is approriate, then it is perfectly fine and acceptable. But I will NOT accept it when it is forced upon me.

EA was put on notice. We all saw the result.

You are on notice, Creative Assembly. Respect history and your playerbase.

I am pleased with how CA has handeled the creation of this game and also the DLC and moddability. I am getting hundreds of hours of replay already, and enjoying the choice of a fantasy-historical based game set in the warhammer fantasy world.

Well done Creative Assembly! Look to Game of Thrones or a Middle earth next! Clearly there is a large market for games in this vein with the attention to detail and love of the total war series!!!

Early Access Review
Eternal crusade is a game very much in the vein of Space Marine. If you liked the third person shooter with nearly equal melee set in the 41st millennium emphasis you will probably enjoy this game. I became a early founder and spent a good deal of time slaying other heretics and loyalist for months. The announcement of this title coming to early access has some perks but was also controversial for those in the community. I will share some of the positive and negative points around this game as they have decided to enter early access here on steam.

I will start by stating I think this game has some promise but at this moment in early access the game suffers from some big issues.

Firstly, the game was initially sold as to be a much larger more MMO experience with assurances of being hundreds of people participating in battles along with "tactical combat." Unfortunately the game has stepped back from some of these features and been reduced to smaller maps with slower development. As it stands it is mostly a match making lobby shooter with a couple dozen players on opposing Space Marine vs Chaos classes. There is also a limited selection of vehicles like rhino transports, predator tanks... with possible units like siege tanks and far far later dreadnoughts (maybe). No speeders or bikes as of yet. Maps are somewhat larger than Space Marine, but probably smaller than say Battlefield. A big disappointment for me is the current lack of other factions: Eldar and Orks. Eldar have been briefly teased with in game footage and also some vids showing the motion capture work. Orks? Well very little to nothing. Forum polls also show space marines lead in popularity (surprise) over the other faction choices... so expect many many space marines running about (and can be seen with wait times and population in matches currently). Tyranids will be some sort of PVE experience and also a sort of equalizer for the clear population imbalance this game has.
