If you liked the first or second game, you'll (probably) like this, but don't go in expecting something to the same caliber or scale. As others have stated, this is a much lower stakes game, and you could reasonably guess most of the reveals coming from a mile away. Much like Zero Escape before it, it makes the most sense when you've played it after playing both Somnium Files and Nirvana Initiative.

But the important part is that Date and Aiba are back and driving each other completely mental, which is really all I could have asked for in a Somnium Files game.

An absolute, generation-defining masterpiece from start to finish. Please play this game.

Do not look up ANYTHING about this game. If you're into horror games that are more unnerving and thrilling, just buy and play this game. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

An exceptional game that I would recommend for anyone who wants and intricate and complex narrative.

That said, do *not* play this game if you want a feel-good story. Nier games are not known for having cheerful stories.
