A friend of mine gave me this game as a gift and I wasn't even aware of its existence.
And BOY was that the best gift ever. (And the worst too, because now im shattered)
This game broke gaming for me - in general.
It will be extremely hard for me to get immersed in another universe after playing this masterpiece.

Music: 33/10
Voice Acting: 33/10
Story: 33/10
General Lore: 33/10
Combat: 33/10
Characters: 33/10
Character Building System: 33/10
Models(NPCs/Assets): 33/10
World / Universe: 33/10
Instances Exploration: 8/10 (That's where the game lose a bit of points, to me)

Everything about it is just too good. I've never cried and laughed as much because of a game story and characters as I did when playing this. This game is not only moving, it's perception changing - and quite literally - the best game I've ever played.

It's a no brainer purchase, even for those who aren't fans of turn based RPGs.
HIGHLY recommend to anyone who wants to live a unique experience. It's refreshing and Sandfall Interactive set the bar very high for their first game, can't wait to see what follows that...
(I'm afraid it won't be nearly as good, because this one is hard to beat.)

I give this a thumbs down for the moment due to poor in-game mechanics.

Like spawn kills beings a thing, you spawn - you insta die to a sniper - or whatever. Why do they even allow that to happen?

Another thing that really annoys me is the amount of ridiculous mechanics such as, when you have someone in your scope with perfect range metered - and the shot doesn't land. Not understanding what is happening you keep shooting thinking at some point it will end up landing, like it normally does - but no. Then this guy with a SMG shoots you from 5KM away and kills you with 2 perfectly landed bullets. HOW?

Oh, The reason I wasn't landing the hits is because there was invisible rocks in front the barrel of my rifle. Yep, the game will never tell you if your shot would land at all or not - and when scoped in - there's no way for you to know that this shot is hitting the rocks 2fts in front of your face instead of even flying towards your targets.

On top of that I keep experiencing a bug where the guns/rifle/weapon I am wearing just doesn't act normally and is all out of sync in a way that makes you need to ♥♥♥ in-game in order to fix. Other than that, there's no other - which kinda feels bad when you're on a good roll. Anyways, I love the game for what it is, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ could be the best game ever made if they fixed a lot of little easy BS details like that - so is the game worth 90$ ?! Hell nah. Wait a bit until they actually patch all the bugs and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game mechanics - then reasses and maybe purchase when it's on special. Seriously.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ competitive mode of all games.
Put diamond players with bronze III players from the get go - instead of making an actual skill based matchmaking system. It's just unpleasant.

That is besides all the stuttering in the game, even with a good rig. Feels like playing an early access, but it's not and it's been around for a while already by now - things aren't getting better. I just can't recommend it - even if its free.

This game is so worth your money.

Finally an investigation / puzzle game where answers just make sense. The story is touching and challenging to grasp at first - yes - but once you get it, every pieces of the puzzle starts falling in place in such a masterful way.

Highly recommend for fans of the genre. Definitely a must have. Encourage this Dev - he 1100% deserves it.

Thank you Somi for this amazing emotionally-moving experience!

Cheers!!

Early Access Review
TLDR: Fun game, it's worth your money - but expect bugs and mechanics issues here and there - it's an early access after all.

What I like about it:

The game is absolutely amazing and probably more addictive than the drugs we sell in it. It's super fun to play with friends too, for a game that has a single dev working on it, I am impressed. I purchased it 4 days ago, and already have 61 hours played haha. This is the kind of game even a non-gamer could enjoy, but it also has that grit that core gamers will definitely enjoy. That being said, it is still an early access game

What I dislike about it:

Expect a bunch of fun-breaking bugs here and there. The game starts lacking content and meaningful things to do passed the Surburbia unlock. At that point, there's generally nothing else to purchase, no new recipes, no better cars, no new business, etc. Once you purchase the warehouse, expect screen rubberbanding/stuttering to happen if you hire people to work in it. Not too sure why it happens, but if I fire them, it fixes the issue. There's more bugs too, but it's not worth to list them all. Only so much a solo dev can do afterall - and the game is super enjoyable despite all the above.

To conclude

So the way I look at it personally, it is absolutely worth the price for me. Since it's less than 1 hour of work to get 61 hours of absolute fun (and a bit of frustration due to bugs haha).

I definitely recommend this game. Encourage that amazing dev, they're alone afterall and they did an incredible job at finding a fun, unique and addictive game concept. I am looking forward for bug fixes and more content at this point!

Kenshi is like doing butt stuff for the first time - all over again.
It start off pretty uncomfortable, maybe even painful, but then it slowly becomes more and more enjoyable and before you know it, you've got a new addiction. I highly recommend if you're into butt stuff in other words.
