If you can spare the 5 EUR to support the creators of this FREE game, this game is definitely fun to play. There's more skill expression within the game, as there's more possibilities for both towers and micro within the sending system.

However, the grind for EXP can be a bit tedious without VIP (store-bought), as you'll be missing out on 3x the normal amount of exp gain. This exp is used to unlock better tiers for the towers you use within the game, which can be a deciding factor between winning and losing.

I personally wouldn't recommend playing without the VIP pass, but if you can afford to get the pass it's definitely a game worth playing if you're a fan of Tower Defense games, now including a competitive ladder.
