Wally and the FANTASTIC PREDATORS is best described as a rogue-lite with personality which i've been meaning to write a review for a long while, ever since I finished off the achievements at the end of 2022 as this game quickly became my favourite rogue-lite. The game immediately wins you over, with the catchy soundtrack as soon as you jump into the game, the bright red dragons which you're greeted to in the tutorial, the naming choices of bosses, items and challenges - from Foxlion's second stage being Foxlion but angry, the power-up AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, the AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA world, the box which will always beg you to pick it after defeating any boss, the personality in the game is endless.

The gameplay is very strong alongside these features. Functioning like a rogue-like, defeating randomly generating rooms of enemies where you gain exp for a room completion, levelling up granting you power-ups. Defeating all enemies in a room will also have a seperate event happen, such as gems spawning, a slots machine which you can use to GAMBLE! and my favourite, CHAD THUNDERCOCK! THE COOLEST DUDE TO EVER GRACE THIS GAME. Alongside power-ups, you also have a bomb bag (Starting size depends on difficulty) which you can use to explode the walls of some levels to get chests to either get currency (spend on shops) potions of mystery (positive or negative effects, or what you could call MORE GAMBLING!) or power-ups/weapons.

The power-ups and weapons in this game differ in strength a lot. You've got power-up tiers in different colours, with grey power-ups like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA or Rock which are rather weak or situational (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA gives 999x knockback on hit and Rock gives +8 stamina for no visible stamina meter, with AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA being a hinderance in most my runs and Rock only being useful on my no damage run after 30+ hours of game mechanic familiarity), blue which will be always helpful to pickup and use, such as duplicate which reduces hit accuracy but adds an extra barrel to your gun, purple which are typically very strong such as Ammo bottle - which refills 25% of ammo on every potion of mystery activation and yellow, which has run winning power-ups such as Left Glove where shooting left increases bullet speed. The weapons are way simpler in their scaling, starting with the default gun which has infinite ammo and after completing the first boss, you unlock the sword which can reflect bullets. The secondary weapon slot is for the weapons you can pick up, with most of them being golden although in my playthrough - I only found one of them useful being BIRDS which had a very large ammo capacity filled with homing birds, shredding bosses. The other weapons still are viable, although I just found less use for in my runs. This is just a few of the weapons and power-ups discussed though, with some power-ups such as CHAD THUNDERCOCK'S neither some overworld effect power-ups or combat.

The game has 5 bosses, all having creative attacks and hone different mechanics (Such as foxlion meant to practice rolling, the thing for using your sword to reflect) which was very helpful when I started playing the game. The game also has difficulty modes, including two casual modes for boomerang and sword only alongside an easy, normal and Boon mode (hard mode). These difficulties all have their fun and should all be tried in my opinion. There are also some other gamemodes, being a race mode (Racing on tracks for the best time!) and weekly and daily challenges which have modifiers to spice up each challenge.

As much as I could ramble on and on about this game and how great it is, from the level design, the attention to detail, the right amount of difficulty, the variety in every single run with each one being more enjoyable than the last, the only thing I can truely say is to try it out for yourself. This game has brought me so much joy and I hope you can find the same level of fun which I had playing this game. It's worth every cent.

The Adventure of NAYU is a short (30m for base-game, 1hr for 100%) clicker and visual novel hybrid where as the title states, you go on a bite-sized adventure. The gameplay consists of visual novel segments, where Lugh is hosting a Doki Doki Adventure Tour however Nayu is the only person to show up, meaning that they go on an adventure by themselves as they meet new friends such as Suzu, Dr. Usami, Tatsu and Shiro on your adventure. The clicker gameplay is very simple, where each click will have you do a bit of damage or you can not click, with Nayu automatically attacking once per second. There are a variety of enemies with different health who will also drop a different amount of Star Shards, which can be used to purchase upgrades to damage, attack speed, auto attack speed and rare encounter chance. The currency can also be used to purchase costumes for Nayu, with there being 6 additional costimes to the original (5 Purchasable with Star Points and one for completing the story). Despite the simplistic gameplay here, the graphics as in the character design is executed perfectly, with everything down to the menu and text-box being made beautiful, with each character popping with colour in the vibrant world, with the music and sound effects perfectly complimenting the bubbly characters.

There is two seperate modes unlocked after completing the story mode, one being an endless mode where the gameplay operates similar to that of an idle game where you can unlock the remaining achievements (LVL cap is 999). The second mode is a mini-game called Path to the Cheese which operates similarly to Flappy Bird, where instead pipes you have to avoid the GuBees (an ingame enemy) which is flying through the sky - all while trying to collect as much cheese as possible. This is a nice novelty mini game which was nice to see added.

The game leaves so much to be desired, I would definitely purchase a second game which expands on the characters and universe overall as this game left me wanting more. The game isnt intended to be played as a clicker game or a visual novel but more as an overall wholesome experience and at this price point, there's no reason I can see for not giving this game a shot as you won't regret it.
