When the game first came out last year, I saw videos and was not particularly hyped about buying it. It seemed like KSP 1 was simply the better game and I would not be enjoying it. Since then I shelved KSP for a while, enjoying other games until recently the urge ticked me again to send some small green silly people to space in ridiculous scenarios. The first place I looked was KSP2 and I was hesitant.
Although still not fully developed, it seemed to be in a playable state and with the For Science! update, it had an actual campaign!
I bought it, not knowing whether or not i'd enjoy it, but taking the risk nonetheless and wow was I impressed! The campaign mode, although maybe not as complete as the previous iteration, is very fun and quite polished for what is there. I have spent hours already just going on mission after mission, sending rockets to space, trying to get higher and farther. Also, I love the upgraded graphics, it makes me stare at my rockets even more so than in the first game and just watching those pods falling in the atmosphere is quite relaxing in a way.
In short, I'm really hopeful the game lives up to its expectation and that the producers give us what they originally promised, because I want to play it more

Edit: After the recent news of the firing, it seems all the hope I had is now gone. Don't buy this game.

Edit: I posted this a long time ago and told myself I would probably not revisit this game. That was until I heard they were rewriting part of the story. The devs are listening and are changing it to better suit a survival game. This makes me reevaluate the game and as of right now I see great potential for where this game could go. I think it could become as great a game as the first one.

I loved Subnautica and when I heard there was a sequel I got excited. This excitement lasted until I heard the main characters voice. I don't care that the main character and it doesn't bother me that she is black. My problem lies with the fact that she is an annoying prick with her annoying sister.

In the first game, I could truly be immersed in the character, and I could feel the loneliness and the helplessness of being stranded on an alien planet, with giant monsters trying to eat you. But in this game, the main character is trying her best to stay on the planet, instead of actually listenning to her superior, which in real live isn't even a choice normally.

The immersion got completely lost, and I don't feel like I can recommend this game. Just play the first game, it's so much better. You don't need the extra content offered by this game.
