It's a great battle royal. Just because the battlepass or your challenges want you to play this doesn't mean you have to. Leaving this as a positive review to offset the room temperature IQ people review bombing.

Do not buy unless you have a graphics card that supports multi frame gen or else you will be watching a $70 slide show.

They give you a grapple hook but the devs decided to only make it usable exactly when they want. They made the map very vertical but don't even allow you to climb using the grapple hook forcing you to drive 5 minutes plus to get from objective to objective. Not to mention every quest (even side quests) have 3+ minute unskippable dialog. 50% of your gameplay will just be going from place to place and listening to actual hours of dialog.

Many quests do not correctly show you where to go or what to do resulting in you wandering around or looking up a youtube guide. These quest guides sometimes have hundreds of thousands of views on the first days of release and should be proof enough that the quests weren't play tested. I've played every borderlands on release and never have I ever NOT wanted to play a borderlands.

80% of your legendaries are going to be borderline useless and just some gimmick mechanic that is insanely useless. I've played all four classes and tried every action skill and they all feel like they're missing something, none of the skills are fun to use at all. Most skills are also just less damage than just shooting your gun so using the ability is actually just a dps loss, forcing you to just never press your skill.

Not worth $70. If this game goes on sale for $40, I'd say then maybe it's worth it.
