A good Souls-like with an interesting sci-fi / horror setting. It has some rough spots, but it does enough differently to stand out, such as weapon leveling, terrain navigation (jumping puzzles), and random events occurring based on an in-game clock. Difficulty is just about spot-on, except the True Final boss, which is magnitudes more difficult than anything in the game (including DLC), and all but ruins the game. Still recommended, though.

If the first Homefront = a Call of Duty game, with a short, linear campaign punctuated by bombastic setpieces, then Homefront: the Revolution = a Far Cry game. The world is made up of distinct zones filled with activities, from stronghold takeover to resource acquisition, to be done in whatever order the player wants. There are a few technical issues, mostly enemies disappearing when you look away from them, but overall an enjoyable game.
