Lovely artworks (I like that counters, all of them), gameplay fast and easy, refreshing new mechanics. Versatile engine and enough to ensure replayability and variety of escenaries. Not a complex title, but enjoyable due to how fast you can play. Not tested multiplayer but most probably this part will be the best part, playing against a human player could be truly challenging compared to any AI. This game is a must.

It's not the usual game full of fantastic, awful/irreal weapon/armours. It's not the usual game full of irreal flying dragons/gryphons. It's not the usual game excesively abused about magic kingdoms. It's not the usual game for people who like peeled tangerines.

It's an absolutely awesome game where you are not the chosen nor special, not intended to make your existence comfortable, and where every single bit of wealthy must be earned through effort and patience. Not too much suited for people suffering 'Little Emperor syndrome' or for people in search of instant satisfaction. Hard at the begining, the game becomes easier as it advances if you work for it, depicting as much as possible, to be merely a game, a real medieval world. Don't expect a world full of dungeons/caves, and treasure chests, a world where you can kill/steal with impunity, or a world with 'bosses' to be killed time after time with abused mechanics.

Extremely inmersive, with realism not seen before in any other medieval based RPG. You can follow the plots or merely travel in your own enjoying the landscapes. I simply love it. Finally I would add, this game could be considered not as a simple game, also both as an artwork and as a anjoyable true History lesson.

10/10 or better 11/10

Voicebot it's an extremely handy application useful both for playing and working, and even for using daily your computer. After purchasing Voicebot in their website and playing around with configuration and interface I started creating my first profile: It's worked like a charm!! It's a SWTOR (Star Wars - The Old Republic) profile with 186 commands including: Chat commands, interface commands, movement commands, mouse/keyboard commands and finally targeting commands. It was easy? Yes, very easy having into consideration my experience as IT worker. For other users? I'm convinced that it will be easy too, specially if using some downloadable shared profile to test it and to check how it's done.

I own and I have been using many different imput devices as trackballs, conventional mouses, programmable multibutton mouses (19 buttons MMO mouses like Nukite MMO/MOBA or Logitech G602), HOTAS joysticks (X-56 Rhino), gaming keyboards, gaming keypads (as Logitech G13) and even the Steam Controller all of them working like a charm and fully configurable. Why I'm telling this story? Because I have been truly surprised about Voicebot and its options and functionality, REALLY SURPRISED. By using this software it's a new step ahead when talking about controlling a game or any other software.

OK, there is a slight delay when speaking a command and when the command is performed, but in general terms this software excels when it comes to help the players to increase performance in general terms, not fast action but all the rest of the game. Don't use it for fast reaction but use it for the rest of actions. Talking about work... this software it's simply perfect for daily job.

What can be done? Almost anything (I have tested every single command I created for SWTOR and it was fully functional), there goes some examples:

CHAT COMMANDS:
- Unstuck: press/release INTRO(25ms) + write /unstuck + press/release INTRO(25ms)
- Change channel: press/release INTRO(25ms) + write /general + press/release INTRO(25ms)
- Logout: press/release INTRO(25ms) + write /logout + press/release INTRO(25ms)
- Leave group: press/release INTRO(25ms) + write /leave + press/release INTRO(25ms)
- Dismiss companion: press/release INTRO(25ms) + write /dismiss + press/release INTRO(25ms)
- Whisper: press/release INTRO(25ms) + write /whisper ---> Then you can write directly
- Reply: press/release INTRO(25ms) + write /reply ---> Then you can write directly
- Navigate through chat window up: press/release AV PAG(1400ms)
- Navigate through chat window down: press/release RE PAG(1400ms)
- Navigate through chat window go to end: press/release END(25ms)
- Etc...

INTERFACE COMMANDS:
- Crafting: press/release C(25ms)
- Inventory: press/release I(25ms)
- Map: press/release M(25ms)
- Home/Stronghold: press/release H(25ms)
- Zoom in: Mouse wheel up
- Zoom out: Mouse wheel down
- Volume on/off: press/release *(25ms)
- Volume up: press/release +(25ms)
- Volume down: press/release -(25ms)
- Etc...

MOVEMENT COMMANDS:
- Move: press w
- Stop: release w
- Back: press S
- Stop back: release S
- Jump: press/release J(25ms)
- Autorun: press/release G(25ms) ---> By pressing again Autorun cancelled
- Move left: press/release A(175ms) ---> This turns 15º aprox
- Move right: press/release D(175ms) ---> This turns 15º aprox
- Etc...

QUICKBARS COMMANDS:
(6 quickbars with 12 buttons each one, all mapped to voice commands)
- From F1 to F12 (12 keys mapped)
- From Alt+F1 to Alt+F12 (12 keys mapped)
- From Ctrl+F1 to Ctrl+F2 (12 keys mapped)
- From Alt+1 to Alt+¡ (12 keys mapped)

- Mouse Right click: press/release mouse button right
- Mouse Left double-click: double click mouse button left
- Bloq Mouse Right click: press mouse button right
- Unbloq Mouse Right click: release mouse button right
- Etc...

TARGETING COMMANDS:
- Next enemy: press/release NUMPAD 1(25ms)
- Prior enemy: press/release NUMPAD 3(25ms)

- Focus Target: press/release NUMPAD 8(25ms)
- Etc...

There are lots of options wich makes the software fully configurable, and voice recognition it's optimal even speaking quietly. Not only single keys, also combo keys, delays, mouse actions, macros (any key combination with delays), write text, execute programs and finally true C# or Visual Basic macros. You can create your own profiles or download profiles from other people who shares their configurations through a built-in option.

This software it's a gem and their support and customer relationship they are extremely efficient, fast and polite. Yes I contacted them for a simple question and the answer came in minutes. I'm truly surprised again!! Everything Works as intended and even better!! I sincerely like companies like this.

Very good game. A must for a wargamer. High replayability.
As a negative aspects:

- I like to have absolute control over logistics, like trains and trucks not depending on random decisions. I like micromanagement to decide where and when I want to push into enemy as hard as possible.
- I like to have absolute control over air force, not having air power into an abstract layer and limited to automatic support or specific logistic missions.
- I found this game extremely depending on random, not only combat results, also decissions results, partisans attacks, everything. But worst it's that decisions would appear randomly too. This negates the player the ability to have absolute control over the battlefield.

Early Access Review
Awesome community in both factions: Midlander and Ismir. Lots of high level players wishing to help any new players. Mostly kind and nice people, the most important factor in a MMORPG. About the game itself, totally playable to be an alpha version, with developers constantly upgrading and patching. Probably one of the best games to be played in alpha version in the entire market. Developers listening to the community, both suggestions and critics, and participating actively in forums. The game it's based in middle age era, and focused in realism instead of fantasy. A good crafting system, not too hard nor difficult but satisfying to crafting/gathering oriented players with lots of raw materials. PVE activities and extensive PVP with safe areas and an innovative traitor system punishing those who attack people on the same faction. Not only a must try, this is game to be played in a regular basis.

Absolutely amazing game similar to Panzer General/Panzer Corps, but with some changes that will bring new mechanics, units and contents. If you played the old Panzer General (or the more recent Panzer Corps, or any other clon), this game will be a step forward in almost all aspects. But be advised, it's hard, really hard... This seem to be a hardened version of Panzer General/Panzer Corps. Well, to be sincere I feel a little dumber myself since I had really troubles to win some scenarios in the US campaign. You must be patient and learn from your own faults, learn how to handle every single unit and their pros and cons, learn how to take advantage of terrain much more than in many other games, learn that sometimes you can only hold positions or even retreat your forces, and even learn that sometimes deploying some mines it's much more effective than hold positions with ground units. I consider that this game it's not heavily based simply on luck (dice rolls) like many others, this game depends on your ability and I must recognize that sometimes the AI was better than me. Sometimes you will be outnumbered, sometimes you will suffer desperately lack of resources, sometimes the time will be your worst enemy... but honestly this game it's really great, is a must. 10/10.

This small piece of software brings to memory first computer strategy games, concretely "Arnhem: The Operation Market Garden" from R.T.Smiths. Simple but a challenge. I think it's a must try. As someone said it's a good entry point to the genre. Congrats Hexwar.

If I had to do a rating only taking in consideration complexity... It would look like this:
(Games from Steam but also having copies from Paradox, Matrix, and Gamersgate)
(All played more than 200+ hours, some more than 1000+/2000+ hours...)
(HoI3, Panzer Corps (Panzer General), EU3 even more than 5000+ hours)

Complexity definition to create this rating is as follows:
  • Number of different concepts/rules to learn
  • Interrelation between different game concepts/rules
  • Number of options to choose from (type of different weapons, technologies, diplomacy, economy, production, etc...)

I have been waiting for HoI4 for two years, and it has been a disappointment... Why? I love HoI series, and I like HoI4 but less than expected. I was hoping an evolution of HoI3, a more advanced HoI3 with improvements and nice and friendly GUI. More elaborated in aspects like diplomacy, commerce, espionage, etc. What I have received it's more a RTS game not as deep and inmersive than HoI3. More oriented to players who like nice graphics and fast playing. In HoI3 you can feel like being really in charge of a nation in almost all the aspects of the game. HoI4 is clearly much more casual (capped). To me, the main difference between a wargamer player and a RTS player it's playing speed. A wargamer will stop to think and elaborate plans much more than a RTS player more oriented to produce and storm lots of troops against enemies. HoI series was unique for wargamers, now it has lost some of the magic that made it so special.

Points changed:

Strategic/Tactic Info available: worse than HoI3 (capped)
Visual display/control of units on map: worse than HoI3 (capped)
Creation/Rearrangment of units: Worse than HoI3 (capped)
Overall economic system: Worse than HoI3 (capped)
Overall political system: Worse than HoI3 (capped)
Overall diplomacy system: worse than HoI3 (capped)
Overall espionage system: No espionage (removed)
Battle plans: Good try if it could work much better
Music: Nice
Counters: Yes, there are basic NATO counters... but not as I was hoping (HoI3 was perfect). You should be able to perceive visually if a unit is a battalion, regiment, brigade, division, corps, army, army group... Also you should be able to attach/detach units from battalion to army groups like HoI3 and change their assignment to another division i.e., also no commanders for minor entities like corps...
Map: Nice but more simple than HoI3, lack of visible province names
(Also note distractions on map with lots of things moving and disturbing.)
Etc...

For hardcore wargamers it's as a break after playing more complex games. If you are tired of complexity and you want some relaxation you can try HoI4 for a certain time.

Achievements are a good adding that encourage to try new possibilites and select countries that you never would choose.

FINAL NOTE:
it's NOT the same as HoI series was, but not entirely a bad game. I enjoyed watching aberrations around the entire map like watching a fantasy movie, I even let thet game to play alone while I'm in passive mode, I laugh a lot but finally boredom and a certain degree of disappointment with Paradox. There are a lot of bugs, even when Paradox used to work hard in the past to solve as many of them, this time they decided to go to vacation after launch letting alone the players with a bugged game.

(Sorry, broken english)
