A must play for every RPG fan.

KDC 1 was already a good game, especially in its core strengths such as the authenticity of the Middle Ages, the storyline, and its presentation.
But with KDC 2, they managed to outperform the first part in every aspect, making it one of the most immersive, captivating, and entertaining games I’ve ever played.

The world design is top-notch, and I don’t know of any other game that depicts the Middle Ages with anything close to this level of authenticity. The large map invites you to spend hours exploring, and every castle, village, and hut is packed with detail and historically accurate representations. I walked through dense forest areas, along rivers and lakes, hunted deer in beautiful clearings while the rays of the setting sun danced through the branches. This shows you so well how life must have been before the industrial revolution and I enjoyed every second of it.

For a 50 bucks game, you get an incredible amount of content, well written quests, funny storylines, and a main story that is far from the typical black and white hero stories, which usually bore me after a while.

I fell in love with the beauty of 15th century Bohemia, the well modeled clothes, armor, and characters and not to forget the hours of background lore about the dark ages of Europe.

Thank you, Warhorse Studios, for this masterpiece. It is truly an achievement to craft such a piece of art, and I am looking forward to future projects.

Most intense and fun Multiplayer Game of 2025.
Great art and sound design, very well optimised and steady content updates.
So far I enjoyed it a lot.

Early Access Review
Game is in Early Access, some may have difficulty understanding what that means.
In any case, the Steam version runs much better for me than in the browser.
The pricing model can probably not be significantly optimized due to the Google Maps API costs.

Certainly not a game for everyone, especially the combat system is challenging at the beginning, but becomes more and more entertaining over time and I really enjoyed it, especially towards the end.
The graphics, quest design and above all the level of detail of the locations and characters are almost unmatched, especially when it comes to games in this genre.
I had a lot of fun with KCD and, above all, you really get a lot of content for your money.
I'm already looking forward to the second part and can only recommend it to players who are looking for more challenging and "mature" RPGs.

It could have been so much, but became so little.

The well-done visuals and the very good gameplay cannot compensate for the incredibly boring and poorly written main story. The side-quests were pure occupational therapy. Disappointment also spread relatively quickly with regard to the pre-release marketing of the game.
