I was honestly really surprised at how much I enjoyed this game! The horror aspect starts off slow but builds throughout, the story is intriguing and keeps you guessing, the combat is fun, and the puzzle elements are all very intelligent. I can see why this game is a classic and I look forward to playing the other Resident Evil games now.

The only bad thing I can say about this game is the dated camera settings. One minute of playing and you'll see what I'm talking about. I know some people can get turned off by it but one thing I'd recommend is playing with a controller instead of trying keyboard and mouse. Once I switched it actually was much easier to move around and deal with the jumpy camera.

This is one of those games that you just can't stop playing once you get into it. Fair warning, there is a decent learning curve for beginners (one of my friends never put the time in to learn how to play because it was a bit overwhelming at first glance). Once you get the hang of the basic gameplay you will most likely learn to love the game. I especially recommend this game to those who love history as this game is all about historical events and it gives you the ability to rewrite history according to your will. One of the best parts about the game is how every single playthrough is different. The A.I., for all the hate it gets, does seem to do a good job in my opinion of being unpredictable. It's pretty much impossible for two playthroughs to be exactly the same based on the scope of the game (how many countries there are) and the adaptiveness of the A.I. Something that I think goes overlooked when discussing this game is the sheer amount of options the player gets when playing. For example, when starting a game, you get to choose any counrty that you want! It seems like a small thing, but how many games really give you that sort of option. Usually I feel like games restrict the creativity of the player, but EU4 really allows the player to do basically whatever they want. To top it all off, the modding community is great and even though it's been out for years now, they are still updating the game and you can easily find a multiplayer game to join if you want. Overall, one of my top 5 games of all time! I can't recommend EU4 enough.
