Solid gameplay loop, fun story, but some missed opportunities overall

Major unanswered questions at the end, make me think this is going to get a DLC at some point

Worthy successor to the first game, try and not listen to the few bad reviews that wanted an exact copy of the first one.

Looks so promising, but is so bad. Don't get baited, Devs have basically abandoned the game.

Absolute gem of a game.

I played several hundred hours of HoMM 3 and some in 5. I didn't even know I wanted a fresh take on the game since the first day I saw and played this game, because HoMM is just that good and holds up to the day, but Lavapotion absolutely crushes it with Songs of Conquest, a game I will likely play for years to come.

The community is nice and helpful for everything you ask them, the game is regularly updated Early Access and has active and motivated developers with clear goals, the only thing that might hold it back is having to pay 30€ (I got it for 20€ on sale), but considering all the positives going for this, I don't regret paying that price in the slightest.
