A fun but time consuming game that reminds me of Reccetear for its aspect of gathering ingredients to sell in your store. The plot is short and you get what you see on the back of the package.

Note that this is a port from the mobile version

Gameplay wise the controls are ok. Leveling up your characters doesn't really give you a reward as you get more rewards for beating the same monster over and over again, this is because you unlock skils by collecting a certain amount of points based on 5 categories.

a day in gameplay consists out of you going out to visit 1 zone outside of your village, be this dungeon, town, field or anything else the day is over and you move to the next day.

Overall it is fun but repetitive and becomes stale quick. It's good to play in short bursts and to play it over a long period of time.

I highly recommend this game after spending 70~ish hours on it. The plot of the game has its ups and downs but wholly enjoyable made more so by its supporting cast, there are so many npc's and allies with their own unique personality that really adds to the charm of the game

I loved the concept of building up the town, raising your reputation based on how accomplished you were going into the dungeon. The dating of all the unique girls was fun to watch, just don't get caught during a date with another girl... or well don't make Mai angry....

Some characters can permanently die or dissapear which adss a layer of complexity on keeping the whole town alive.

I really recommend picking this game up at base price, it's really worth more than that

To start off: Evenicle is a game oriented at adults, please don't let your children play this...
That being said the game is your fairly standard jrpg with random encounters, superbosses, secrets and a large overworld. What makes it so interesting is that Alicesoft managed to combine the jrpg aspect with a visual novel/eroge.

One of the interesting mechanics is the encounter system. A bar in the HUD shows how soon you'll have a random encounter, this makes it easier to predict and prepare.
Leveling is not done automatically: one must gather exp and then visit a level up show to spend the exp.

Story: the story is told in an interesting way, in that just as the player the main character has only a vague idea how the world works. Exposition is done by other characters but never in an overload of information.
Yes there are H-scenes and they could well be omitted and not detract anything from the story. They do feel like they are written by somebody who's not used to writing.

I would tell anyone who has an interest in this game to have a go at it, you might be suprised and like it very much, I certainly have enjoyed myself so far

As part of the curator conenct program the fine people of Smileboom reached out to us and offered a neutral overview of their program.
I can only agree to the description that it requires no programming skills. The interface for creating your world is easy to navigate and allows you to view everything from all directions ensuring that you know exactly how it looks. The event planner - read everything that allows you to interact - can be quite intimidating at first but the program explains and gives good directions on how to correctly make an event chain.

After perusing the steam forums I have found out that there is a large community that offers advice and insight for newcomers, the developers themselves are also quite active even for the english community

Pro:
+Easy to use
+a massive library of assets
+a helpful community
+Small installation size
+Support with new assets quite frequently
+A lot of games available

Con:
- a medium learning curve that leads to the pro above

All in all I recommend this tool for any aspiring game developer

* this review is founded on using this software as well as a game made with this engine*

After playing this game for nearly 2 hours I can already say that I'm going to play it a lot more, the game is an excellent transition of traditional physical deck builders to a pc version.

After losing a few rounds (and I skipped the tutorial....) I got the hang of it due to some help of the official rules posted in the forums. The core principle is to build your deck and to get your chosen soon to be queen on the throne. However it is not that simple, like all deck builders you'll need cunning and smarts to survive in this political struggle. Your chosen princess has an ability that will make a huge impact on your playstyle and I therefore recommend to carefully consider which Princess you will back.

There is a great variation of cards to make a game up and I do hope that the developers will continue to create more expansions to come

A total score of 8/10 for it's a great game with just a few technical issues that hopefully will be fixed
