this is a lovely game. it's a tad short, and the exploration does leave a tiny bit desired, but the gameplay is extremely solid feeling, the platforming is really fluid and satisfying, and game is beautiful.

If you like metroidvanias, this is a really good one :)

this game somehow perfectly balances being funny and tense.
It sets the stage for hanging out with friends and having a good time, but then suddenly ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan and it can be genuinely terrifying.

The experience has previously been pretty nice, but by not only implementing EAC and completely shutting out the modding community, but sending a C&D letter to the private server project, VRChat has made it clear that they *do not care* about their community beyond extracting VRC+ subscription fees. They have tripled down on multiple decisions that the community **hates** and they Do Not Care.

Note that this means quality of life mods or mods that fix the crashing issues that the devs have never fixed aren't allowed, while avatars that trigger these crashing bugs will continue to exist even if technically disallowed. Furthermore, the outright hostility in sending a cease and desist letter to a tiny team making a private server that barely anyone uses is inexcusable.

Please do not support these developers.

This game is fantastic. The VR mechanics are well thought-out, and the graphics/art are not only well-made, but they've clearly been designed to look good *in VR,* which most games don't pull off as well.

The tone is a bit strange, jumping back and forth between this *almost* dark and dramatic atmosphere and a light-hearted fun environment. This is a bit of a nitpick, however, and doesn't really impact the game much.

The weapon selection menu works well (well enough that Alyx copied it lmao), and the environments are genuinely fun to explore.

I'm having a great time with this, and Zulubo's definitely made a name for themselves by making such an ambitious game and actually pulling it off. This is an indie dev that definitely deserves your money, and I can't wait to see what they do in Vertigo 2!
