As a bookish gal, I couldn’t resist this game! Bookshop Simulator is pure cozy bliss - calm vibes, zero stress, and adorable kitties. The perfect game to queue up a playlist, settle in, and lose yourself among the shelves.

I love using this game as background ambience while I read! It’s so fun being able to switch the sounds to match the mood of whatever book I’m into and the adorable little critters are just the cherry on top.

From a gameplay standpoint:

I've quite enjoyed this game so far. It follows the fairly standard Supermassive Games formula with the obvious Dead by Daylight addendums here and there. The story seems fairly cohesive and able to draw in the audience to want to find out more.

However, it's worth noting that the complete inability to skip cutscenes significantly hinders replay value, which can be frustrating for players revisiting the game.

From a technical standpoint:

This game needs optimized badly. It's been said a thousand times at this point, I'm sure. The Casting of Frank Stone made my normally cool PC run an upwards of 90C several times until I tweaked the settings and cut off DLSS then lowered graphics far below my computer's ability. It was still incredibly choppy graphics wise and kept trying to freeze at various points throughout but I didn't notice any concerning temperature spikes after the tweaks.

So, as it stands, despite greatly enjoying the game, I cannot recommend The Casting of Frank Stone in it's current state.
