In Other Waters is one of the most atmospheric games I've played. The minimalist graphics together with the subdued soundtrack that swells and wanes like the ocean serve to paradoxically enhance the atmosphere, with the gameplay almost completely fading away and giving way to unadulterated experience. The story is simple but no less evocative with its elegant delivery and heartfelt writing. The world of Gliese 667 Cc comes alive even with the narrow lens you get to experience it through, its biomes fully realized with detailed descriptions and beautiful art of the flora and fauna of the planet, fully immersing you in this alien world. It is a character in and of itself, sometimes a friend, sometimes an adversary, but always captivating. It is a game that needs to be experienced to truly be appreciated, and it is definitely worth a play,
