This game's pretty great.
The battle system is notably simplified, yes, but that really opens up to a lot of potential combo routes and some newfound ingenuity to be creative. I was iffy at the thought at first but it's really super fun. The characters all have a lotta potential and they all feel really great!
It's also got a full english dub and the cast is killin' it!
You may have to check if your system can handle it considering some assets can cause lag, but there is an improvement mod to get around that, so it checks out.
Online Lobbies are pretty steady too. I've been getting favorable connections more from this game, which really helps me play it more.

It's an awesome game through and through.

It exudes style in every aspect, from the music, to the gameplay mechanics, the animations, and story. Also has probably the MOST comprehensive tutorial mode you'd ever see in a fighter (next to Skullgirls), presenting it in a way that's actually fun. The one "downside" (which is completely subject to personal preference) is that it didn't have the english dub from the last game, though that in itself won't be much to worry about for everyone. I still wish it had it, though; imagine how Texan Johnny would sound, or grammatically incorrect Jam!

Still a great fighter, probably one of the finest made. You can just feel the love, inspiration, and enthusiasm put into this.

EDIT: The new update has certainly come around for this one. It now plays good, AND looks good! The sprites have been refined to look smoother, and the new greater control over graphics has made frame drops an almost non-issue. To the devs behind this port, I say well done. You have quelled my initial fears for this port.

No english dub is still a downer, though. A mod for it is available, however, so that sorta mitigates it a bit. I still wanna see it in the future, although i'm referring to arcsys on this, not the porting devs.

Give yourself a pat in the back, Shini. You earned it.

In all honesty, I thought that all hope was lost that this PC version would ever surface.

Alas! I am delightfully mistaken!

With a few tweaks, the game runs incredibly smoothly. The cel-shaded animation is just stunning. Gameplay is as great as ever.

My only complaint is the netcode. it's all very well, but it still has its hiccups here and there. That, and the fact that Revelator's release next Spring would outdate this game soon enough (but hey, whatever).

An overall great port. Deserves a solid 9.3/10 for me! Don't miss out on this!
