let me start by saying that this is the first souls-like game i've ever played. i waited about 2 years (and watching multiple friends play a bit of it) before i actually gave it a chance.

it is the best video game i've ever played. it's beautiful, challenging yes, but the feeling of beating a boss after 20+ attempts of trying to kill it is unlike anything i've ever experienced playing a video game ever. exploring this massive map (and the parts beneath it) is probably the most fun i've ever had in gaming. i've played through it twice and am currently on a third character now. i can't wait to get the dlc and sink even more time into this masterpiece of a game.
