Kynseed is the first of many I've played that has greatly subverted my expectations of being a "farming RPG" game. After "Stardew Valley," many developers struggled to give the players something fresh and unique, and I believe Kynseed succeeded in that field. A darker story adds more depth while giving the player the experience of dealing with the consequences of their actions. Excellent references to folklore. Pixel animation feels gentler "to the touch." The battle mechanics keep you on a small verge between real-time and tour-based fighting. Family tree building feels great, although I feel I need to put more hours into it so I can see its true potential.

I played it on SteamDeck, and I'd like better control mapping, more like in Stardew Valley desktop port to the console version, as that'd feel more natural.

Highly recommended.

PS. I'm just playing with you. Pig Riding hooked me from the first hour, and I didn't want to let go until I finished the main story.

Great game, I wish it was longer.

For a while I was looking for a puzzle solving game that wasn't just a set of challenges. I used to be an avid Hidden Object gamer years back and my fondest memories are tied to those that had a compelling story as well not so obvious to unwind.
In Strange Horticulture there are puzzles, there is a mystery, there are choices (not too many, but for the length of the game they're enough).

What I'd like to have in this game is:
- optional alphabetical sort of the plants (which helps a LOT)
- a possibility to identify a plan outside of the quest e.g. I get a plant, I have a note in the book already but I can't identify it until someone asks for it

Except for the above it was an awesome experience.

I do recommend this game with all my heart. And now I have to play it again to finish the achievements :D

Keep up the good work, Bad Viking, I'm diving into your collection.

A very nice time management game. Some levels will make you repeat them to get the "gold time", but honestly it's not a huge challenge. I only had trouble with level 42 - I used the walkthrough to get the best set of moves.

Above all I liked the story and if you are fan of TM games like myself you will enjoy it.

That's the most wonderful, the saddest/happiest and the most emotional game I have ever played.
Honestly, its developers are geniuses/saddists here for making such a game using easy to get gamemaking tools.
If you want to take a part in a story that breaks your heart this is a game for you. And you will never look at paper bunnies the same way.

The only glitch is the achievement to gain: for now you have to play on WINDOWS and in ENGLISH to make it happen. At first I played in Polish so it didn't count. I had to change the language in settings to English and replay the last auto-save.

But above that... 4 hours of heart-melting gameplay. It's worth it.

Best game ever! Teaches creativity, English to non-native speakers and gives everyone so much fun. You can even make Cthulhu ride a giant fly! Honestly! That has to convince you!

I'm a casual player. I mostly spend my time on simple games or on the ones which handle a story that I really like. The only serious, well-made RPG game I started and finished was DragonAge. And then came Van Helsing.
I have never thought I would encounter a game that will mix up steampunk, monster killing and the legend on Van Helsing in such a perfect manner.

The game is just amazing. I only played the hunter class, but I just can't wait to start it again as a mechanic or a thaumaturge. Well-balanced, fun to play, and Lady Katarina's character is just brilliant.

It's worth every penny.

Totally fell in love with the game, though it had a few glitches. The Developers have been and are working on improvements all the time, so no worries - if something's not right they'll fix it.
What the game takes... is sometimes a lot of time (especially on the bigger puzzles) but eventually that what it's all about. The Japanese theme, the achievements and the koji fish are those features you will appreciate.

It's worth it.

The game is short, but it doesn't take its awesomeness away. Nice puzzle-hidden object concept wrapped in beautiful artwork.

Best game ever. I'm halfway through but I can already say it's very playable and you yearn for new levels. Battle with the Void on areas' every end level always make my heart beat a little faster as I am so determined to beat it.

Don't hesitate. Just fight the Void.
