Usually, i'm not a fan of this style of gameplay.
yet having been a fan of the lore of Hollow Knights, i decided to give Silksong a try.

Its certainly NOT a gameplay style i'll make my regular. and is defenitly better off with controller, not keyboard like i using.

Despite that, i spent 2 hours learning the jump mechanics and bell beast. and i can't say i was dissapointed. i loved it.

i hate the pogo jumping sideways (blame using arrow keys instead of an analog stick) but i couldnt stop trying till i made it.

Amazing world, visuals, audio, cute character, and so far the lore has me hooked.

all of this for $20? if it had been $60 i'd have been hesitant cause its not my style of gameplay. i'd have settled for a youtube playthrough. but for $20, jumped in and have been quite satisfied.

love Hornet.

I gonna be keeping in mind that its Early Access.

With that said, love the art. and love the ideas.

IT has some issues with pathing, though thankfully the units dont get stuck, you can click backwards and they can get out. but it is still annoying. i expect that will be smoothed out

and the AI is a bit hit or miss at times, trying to shoot through some rocks or cliffs. and fast response to grenades.

with those negatives out of the way, visually its great, and the set up works well. theres room to grow but what it has is a solid start.

I look forward to seeing what it becomes from here and glad to see its still on the right path

The game is exceptionally fun, looks good. runs well.

but try as the Devs might, they can't avoid bad PR...

Wether its Sony fking over players by locking out entire countries, breaking up friend groups

or Their own community mod team having daily issues with mods having power trips. banning people in mass for "not liking the art" or "not being the right political side" (ironic as arrowhead said NO politics. but the mods push one side politics violating arrowhead's own rule)

i want to say this game is the future, but its being killed by a cancer in the form of its community mods, and sony.

I started this in 2018. and was dissapointed.

but..that was then. this is now. after 6 YEARS of constant support/updates i returned and...it really is a different game entirely. i'll say it. its a GOOD game

sure it doesnt have offline or mod support

and...the limited stash space is annoying.

but i've been sinking hour after hour in. loving it. hunting for screws, planning new builds.

there are some oddities still...like laser rifle beam splitter RUINING the gun by making it lose durability 4x FASTER.

but as a whole, this is a fun game and i am SO GLAD they fixed it

So remember the old days of newgrounds, adventure quest, flash games, and all the creativity? before gaming became...extremely corporate and generic?

yeah, this is a blast from the past of those days. From the gameplay to the dialogue, to the visuals. Its fun, creative, and a reminder of better days when people weren't scared to make a story that doesn't just appeal to the largest market.

I doubt this will appeal to all, but its definitely got its niche and if you are one of those nostalgic for that era, this will feel good while combining some modern tech and capabilities we didn't have back then.

so have fun!

W8...have i never reviewed this game? jeez.....

well, played since 2012. and game has changed massivelyl.

if your here for space ninjas....that theme has fallen apart long ago. now we space....sorcerors? warriors? idk. look theres alot more variety now, to the point we have concrete as a theme. yeah.....scary part is it works.

this game has had its ups and downs, if you played in 2018-2021...i dont blame you for saying this game sucks. the Developers were really crappy back then (well...not the Devs, but the mods the devs hired)

but its alot better now, not perfect.....not by a long shot. but acceptable.

the community is extremely friendly and helpful, even during the dark times where chat mods turned to tyrants.

The game has plenty of content, extremely good looking content, and important...GOOD FEELING. the only problem, is deciding which frame and gun you like the most....its not easy.

so go play, and if you get stuck, or worried, open up region chat, or jump on discord. and you'll find people willing to help.......even if its something stupid like 4 hour survival.......some of us are into that.....dont judge us

This is what i wanted from a Pokemon Open World Game. We asked for this for years and instead recent Pokémon titles released for the Nintendo Switch have fallen well short of expectations fans had for the mainline series’ long-awaited debut on consoles. They look bland, they are riddled with bugs, and they are even missing features previously included in the more recent handheld Pokémon games. Even Pokémon Legends Arceus felt like a breath of fresh air, and that game was a surprisingly simple open-world variation on the Pokémon formula that generally offers fewer things to do than what you’ll find in Palworld.

Palworld, while its no master piece. is genuinely FUN.

And has potential.

and uniquely among games nowadays, runs stable and smooth on launch! probably cause the Devs played their own game.

just started, still learning

but i like waht i see so far. its like Terraria in many ways, but more story focused with NPCs.

something i'd love to see is mod support cause i can see alot of modding for this.

still unclear how to...feed citizens (i think they feed themselves?)

or what a good tax rate is.

but so far, i like what i see
