This game after the 2.01 version is awesome.
Gameplay-wise, the overhaul in the skill tree is simplier, now armor is attached to implants so you can dress however you want. I can't say anything new about the FPS experience, you already know it's rad, if not one of the best as of now. You can live your sci-fy fantasy however you want, being a Robocop who auto locks every target, a rad samurai like Raiden from Metal Gear Solid, a wizard who hacks everything around and takes completely control over everything, etc.
It took time, a lot of backleash, a lot of patches, but this game is finally really worth. The new DLC feels like a game in itself. I played it after finishing the main campaing like a year ago. I wonder how would it be to do it when first available, some of the weapons from the DLC are pretty broken.

Story-wise is great, the never-ending "there is no real happiness" is a constant. But you at least get some bittersweet endings for some characters. I would recommend to always spare whoever you can, because that tends to lead to another side quest that follows, either from the spared to take revenge or to thank you.

Overall, after years, I can say this is a 10/10 if you like sci-fi RPGs. It's very single player story focused. There isn't much to do like an open world sandbox as in GTAV or Far Cry 6.

Excellent game, excellent saga. (I'm writing this after playing 1 to 4 straight)
(EDIT: for short, I want to let you know that all the TRAILS OF: games are connected not matter which one. They occur around the same time in the same continent on different "countries"; events covered in one game are metioned in another; all of this because the director of the franchise wanted to create a big world with entaglement in a Game of Thrones size/fashion; so these are story-heavy and if something feels odd, probably it was covered/going to be covered in another Trails of.)

Story wise, it's the epic conclusion of the Cold Steel Arc has every troupe you need: the power of friendship, the fall and rebirth of the protagonist, etc. The cast of available characters is huge, and it feels a little underwhelming try to bond with them all. (also it still bugs me that many of the characters personal stuff is "only solved because you were there")
Gameplay wise is balanced down compared to previous entries but nothing game breaking nor anything new that is worth mentioning.

Overall; I give it a 7/10 just because of the sheer size of the story, plots, subplots and twists they tried to cover. Maybe it is not the best conclussion or something like that (haven't played other Trails game yet), but this arc one kept me until the very true end wanting to see the story unfold; which is nice and also encouragering me to try older and newers entries.

I really liked the conclussion of this 4 game epic story, yet I feel it was lacking in the most attractive part for me that was the "school days vibe" that 1 and 3 had on this one.

The voice acting in japanese was superb.
