It was a typical night on Dust 2 in CS2, the dust swirling in the mapโ€™s iconic open spaces. I was planting the bomb, fingers trembling in the heat of the moment, when a soft, unexpected voice came through the mic. "Nice try," he said, his voice cool and confident but with a hint of something elseโ€”curiosity, maybe. We exchanged a few more lines, the banter light but electric, as the round went on. He saved my life during a clutch, and we both laughed in that post-round pause, the tension gone. It was that momentโ€”he wasnโ€™t just a teammate, he was someone I wanted to know. We started playing together more often, the games becoming less about victory and more about the quiet, shared moments between us. Soon, the matches werenโ€™t the only thing we were connecting over. Through our shared passion for the game, we found ourselves opening up to each other, discovering a bond deeper than the game itself.
