The game itself was fun to play and overall fairly polished. I don't have any particular complaints about the gameplay other than maybe the safe areas are a little too safe. As in, most entities will be unable to enter a safe zone even if the door to it is left open, leaving them walking back and forth on an invisible wall for a few moments.

The reason for the negative review is the transcripts policy. The game states that any voice chat going through the game's system is transcribed and then sent to the developer's server for analytics. You are forced to accept this with no way to opt out other than not using the integrated voice system, missing out on immersion and gameplay mechanics like the proximity chat and the entities being able to hear you.
I streamed the game on twitch so it wasn't private to begin with, but there's no reason why players who paid for the game should be forced to choose between having their conversation recorded or make their experience worse by talking over discord.

Good luck on the bankruptcy speedrun attempt!

Edit 14/8/22: Here's a more serious review. Today I logged in and tried the game for the first time after the update. I was greeted by a UAC screen of easy anticheat asking for admin access. I sighed, quickly went over the life choices that led to this moment, and finally I was once again in VRChat. Aside from a couple of odd problems that I never had before, namely the game not detecting my FBT and some weird stuff with my avatar disappearing that forced me to restart a couple times... Ok, I can get over it, it was some one time stuff at the start which didn't happen again.
What actually bothered me however is that the frame rate feels "choppier" than it did before the update. It's especially noticeable when turning around. It's hard to describe, but it just doesn't feel as smooth as it did before. Note that I didn't use any mods that increased performance before the update, nor I'm not running the game on a potato computer.
I also found that the loading time of joining an instance has noticeably increased.
Now, neither of this would be too bad if the "security update" actually did anything to improve the game for the community, but at this point we all know that's not really the case.

Seriously, VRC devs. At this point the modders all gave you a metaphorical middle finger for your disgusting attitude and moved on to developing for ChilloutVR. Even if you remove EAC, they're not gonna come back. Just let us have some better performance and let us run the game without shoving spyware down our throat. In conclusion, here's a clown for you.

EDIT: CEO held the project in developer limbo for a year before winning a legal battle to implement his completely unnecessary crypto into the game. Wouldn't be surprised if it was just some sad attempt at a pump-and-dump.
It's a shame, although I never played the game much I always thought it had potential, guess I won't be leaving VRC anytime soon.

Original review: This is one of those games that I really wish I could like, but between poor performance, an unnecessarily complex and clunky FBT calibration system, as well as a disappointing-looking IK system that I just couldn't get to look natural or even just good after trying to tweak it and asking for help about it, the list goes on.
I definitely see potential if anything at least in the idea behind neos, but I feel like whenever you're trying to make anything, the game fights you every step of the way.
I would really love for neos to become more user friendly and polished over time, but until then I definitely wouldn't pick it over the available alternatives.

Also this might be more of a personal preference but I feel getting stuff done in LogiX is slower and more complicated than what it would be to just sit at a desk and write code the traditional way.
