Such a great game that combines elements from a lot of other FPS shooters including TF2, Apex Legends, Overwatch, Battlefield, and Rainbow Six Siege. I think this game has a LOT of potential and it's worth trying out. Highly recommend.

EDIT: After playing this game since 2016 and with almost 3k hours, I still love this game. I think it's worth knowing the following changes that have been major that have happened

1. Trading is going away starting end of this year (2023). Overall I think this is a GOOD thing because they're really just cosmetics but to each their own.

2. Player base has definitely gotten lower -- queue times average around a minute depending on the game mode. For popular game modes (2v2, 3v3), they're not impacted very much (I'm west coast).

3. Smurfing is a prevalent problem but it isn't as bad as people make it. I'm around C2-C3 rank since S3 (post F2P) and I can still manage to stay there if you play smart with good fundamentals. A lot of people who complain I find try to go for clips or play overly aggressive. If you play like a team player, you'll have no trouble going up the ranks. Prioritize being fast to the ball and accuracy rather than flashy shots. I do think the early season is always a crap shoot with so many people fighting for their previous ranks though.

All in all while I think the overall trend for Rocket League has been somwhat downhill, there isn't any other game like it. I'm in it for the long haul and hoping this game gets a UE5 update. Epic just announced a really positive update so I'm excited for that!

I've had this game for a while now and after 400 hours of playing, this is definitely a must buy game. The devs clearly listen to their player base and have constantly worked on new things that make the game enjoyable. I love how their is a high skill ceiling but at the same time the game itself is just fun. It's just cars that hit a ball around and it's hard to take too seriously.

I wasn't sure what I would think of this game but I am so glad I decided to give it a try. While the gameplay itself is not as free world as most games are now, the story is compelling and I was at the edge of my seat at times.

I feel the game is extremely well made and nearly every decision I was given... well I never felt satisifed with MY decision. The game has a brilliant way of tugging at your morals and really makes you experience both sides of an issue. I also love how your actions persist not only throughout the episode, but into other episodes as well. I feel even after playing it through once, I will need to go back just to see how other actions may pan out.

While the story starts out mildly, dark undertones start to emerge. I do not want to spoil anything but things do get pretty dark. I can really feel what the character is feeling and I feel playing this game has been an emotional rollercoaster, much like it has been for Max.

If you are unsure, I would wait for a sale but after buying this game, I absolutely do not regret it. I still have one episode left to play but I wanted to write this review now in case I forget. This game is a masterpiece in its own right.

EDIT: I just finished Episode 5. I don't mean to set high expectations but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is absolutely life changing. I don't think I can look at life the same way again.

EDIT 2: If you do decide to play and manage to finish, I would highly recommend also watching the director commentary. I was so surprised at how much thought went into this game and there are no words for the amount of respect I have for Dontnod Entertainment for this game they have created.

Definitely one of the best open-world games I have played since GTA IV. Not only does it have a wonderful storyline but it really makes you feel like you are in HK. I was especially surprised how they were able to capture some elements such as the sound of the crosswalks (they make a different sound than the ones in America) and even the language people use (if I bumped into someone in an aggressive way, I would likely hear the same reaction as those that were made in the game).

If I had to nitpick at one thing though, it is that they did not include the MTR subway... arguably an identifying part of what Hong Kong is. EVERYONE uses the MTR and it is the main source of transportation here in HK. I don't mind the fact that not all the identifying land marks are shown and not every district is included, but the MTR is how everyone gets where they are and would have probably made amazing missions.

Nevertheless outstanding game. If you want a taste of what it feels like to be in HK, this is a good stepping point.
