the solo content of this game is straight up not enjoyable with the ai being as unfair as it is. i literally got handcuffed for half the first game i played after the first 2 rounds were pretty decent. as soon as id die for real if i lost all my health? nah ♥♥♥♥ me i guess. i couldnt get basically anything to help prevent it either as it seemed the dealer just knew what was gonna happen next regardless of if they used a magnifying glass.

all in all, would not recommend this game unless you plan to play multiplayer, but if thats what you get it for then i would 100% recommend it

If you enjoy getting your ass handed to you on a regular basis then this game is for you.

half the cast is either braindead easy to get wins with or broken to the point its not a challenge half the time.

you only get one character for free if you didnt play the beta or buy the battlepass from the beta, and the way you unlock characters is one of the most annoying grinds ive ever seen in a game before, not even mentioning the fact that Joker, who is the newest non free character, costs twice as much and is needed for battlepass missions regardless of if you own him yet.

i would not recommend this game to basically anyone who didnt already play the beta in all honesty, as there are way too many issues with gameplay and currency for me to want anyone not already involved to start getting involved at the moment, if that changes massively ill change my review status but at the moment i just cant recommend the game.

havent played many survivor games and the only one else i have is the Deep Rock one lol
this is by far one of the best free games ive ever played, if it wasnt free id definitely be willing to have paid if id have known how much fun it was!

even if you dont like vtuber stuff or hololive in specific (i personally dont watch a ton of Vtuber content but i still find the concept and characters a lot of fun), this game has a lot of really fun items weapons and characters you can choose from, its more fun to know the references of course but you dont have to to get enjoyment out of the game c:

this game is so incredibly luck dependant, you could get the best run youve ever had and then get completely destroyed the next turn for no reason other than you didnt think of the one thing that killed you ever happening. i have fun playing this game until i get destroyed out of nowhere and then my entire experience is immediately ruined.
i havent won a single game yet and i dont think i will anytime soon

Edit: i have won a single game since my initial review and while it was a great feeling in the moment, this game just is much too un-fun to play 90% of the time.

ive played every game since BTD4 and loved every one of them, ofc id recommend this one, despite removing a few towers like the dartling gun and the bloonchipper

edit 2023: a bit late but the dartling gun is in the game again and its even more fun than in previous games honestly, still hoping for the bloonchipper tho ngl
