It's hard to play other survival games after playing this. All I can think while I'm mining or crafting something is "I need to automate this".

This game is great.

Pros:
- Super unique and very cool races to play as
- Variety of sweet monsterous creatures and other units you can recruit
- A bunch of free content has been added to it
- Great fantasy setting
- Good graphics
- Mods

Cons:
- The AI can be pretty stupid
- Agent spam on the campaign map is really annoying
- Late game turns to kind of a grind
- Lackluster siege battles

Learning more about the lore boosted my and enjoyment of the game, but isn't really necessary to still enjoy it. That said, I would still recommend watching/listening to some lore video to get the most out of the game.

As others have said, the DLC is kinda pricey. All the DLC I've tried has been high quality though, so I can't complain.

On the whole, this is a really cool game and I'd definitely recommend picking it up if it looks like something you might like.

Releases $20 paid DLC for an unfinished game...
