Great RPG set in the Warhammer 40k universe. If you enjoy playing games in this setting, you're sure to love this one too. The ending wraps up a bit quicker than expected (apparently there were funding issues), but it didn't significantly impact my enjoyment of the game. A LOT of text to read if you're invested, but also an in-built lexicon with descriptions of terms for those that are new to the 40k universe. If you like Warhammer, and you enjoy RPGs, this is the game for you.

Incredible RPG, with very fleshed-out characters and interaction options, as well as a compelling story set in the D&D world of Faerûn. Deserves all the praise it's been given.

A fantastic sequel to DOOM 2016, and honestly a great successor to the original Doom series from back in the day. Compared to Doom 2016, they switch things up a bit, requiring even experienced Doom players to change their strategies in order to succeed and even simply to survive. For example, each weapon has less of an ammo stock, requiring you to use weapons more strategically and switch regularly to different parts of your arsenal. In addition, the chainsaw has become a key tool. I found myself rarely using it in Doom 2016, due to the overabundance of ammunition for my favourite weapons, but in Doom Eternal it becomes essential.

To top it all off, they're continuing to add new content to the game, with two fantastic and considerably tougher DLC storylines and a variety of fun cosmetics unlockable through gameplay to deck out the Doom Slayer and other multiplayer characters.

This game is everything I wanted from a Doom game and even more. Honestly a solid 11/10. Pick this damn game up already!

Early Access Review
Though this game is in Early Access, there's still plenty to discover and enjoy in Stoneshard. The developpers are constantly updating and patching the game, and have released a roadmap of the large chunks of content they plan on releasing over the next year or so. I look forward to continuing to suck at this game while discovering the new features for many, many more hours.

I was a huge fan of Shadow of Mordor, so couldn't wait to get my hands on the sequel. In short, this game is a great continuation of the previous installment, with some changes to give it a fresh feel, without straying too far from what made the first one so great.

TL;DR: Great game, despite some shortcomings, I give this game a solid 7.5/10.

PROS:
-Nemesis system is as good as ever, with characters that escape your clutches (and others that miraculously survive being cut to pieces) getting stronger and remembering their previous fights with you. Love it!
-Storyline is solid, with numerous side plots all running simultaneously, giving fun and unique ways to play the game and experience your plethora of abilities as the Gravewalker.
-Brand new skill tree that is separated into a number of families, with each main skill having several upgrades to choose from depending on your playstyle.
-The game is beautiful to look at, assuming you have the rig to cope with it, and still runs smoothly on a bare minimum specs device.
-The addition of avenging other players and attacking their fortresses is a nice mechanic as well, also earning you rewards for your solo play.

CONS:
-Still a number of bugs exist within the game, which is surprising considering how long it's been out. Falling through the floor, characters monologuing without sound, others just sort of stuck in place. Usually the game corrects itself, but it can definitely take away from the experience.
-I see what they were trying to do, adding a new type of orc into the game (Olog Hai), but in all honestly they are just a pain in the butt to deal with for 90% of the game, until you become overpowered and can one-shot most things anyway.
-I feel like a real opportunity was missed with the skill tree. The concept of allowing you to "choose your playstyle" depending on which upgrade you have active for each skill doesn't really work in theory, as apart from a couple of skills (usually linked to damage type), most of the time you won't be swapping between subskills and just use the same set for the whole game. This means beyond about level 40 or so, all the skill points you acquire is merely used to fill in the skill tree, with subskills you will rarely, if ever, use.

All in all, and despite the shortcomings I have presented above, I really think this is a great game overall. I definitely recommend people to play through the first one in it's entirety beforehand to get a thorough grasp of the mechanics and storyline prior to jumping into this one, as it'll make your life much easier. The game is intrinsically grindy, trying to get good equipment and gems, as well as taking the necessary steps to control all the fortresses, which can become tiring eventually, but as long as you spread out the content and side quests appropriately I think it's more than bearable. Overall, I think this game deserves a 7.5/10, as it has a solid foundation, and is quite unique in it's style. Though it has a number of shortcomings that I hope they look into if they decide to make a 3rd game, I think the series has definitely made it's mark and continues to give me hours of entertainment.

If you haven't at least tried this game in 2019, what are you even doing with your life... This is (almost) everything that Diablo could and should be. The support and constant updates from GGG is fantastic year after year.

My only MINOR qualms with this game are:
1) Without putting a small bit of money into the game for stash tabs, in particular for currency and other collectables, you will quickly run out of workable room. Even more so if you have multiple characters, which all share a stash. But in the end the game is free, so they need to make money somehow, and it's not too much to ask.
2) It can be extremely daunting for a new player, as the skill tree is IMMENSE and the way the item/gem/currency system works is a tad convoluted. There is no tutorial to learn what works with what, and you are kind of thrown in the deep end. I recommend any new player to search the internet and youtube for guides and simple + cheap builds to get started. This is also the case if you take a break and the season changes, as the new mechanics can sometimes be complicated to learn. But that is also part of the fun!

In the end, if you put in the time to learn the inner workings of this game and all the love and detail that GGG put into it, this is a fantastic game that you can sink hours upon hours into. Absolutely would recommend!

This game is the gift that keeps on giving. Endless replayability. Driving story. Solid character development. And anyway, who doesn't love Tolkien's universe?
