RIP Michael Madsen

This game delivered tons of great content throughout the time and didn't disappoint unlike PD3 (which is a tragedy since I love Payday) and it's worth playing

For a game that's called TOMB RAIDER it lacks a considerable amount of TOMBS to raid then they sell a basic one for $1.49/$2.99 when it should've been part of the game and not as a separate DLC

These targets were originally going to be Elusive until IOI decided to make them an exclusive campaign pack for the PlayStation 4 back in 2016, They didn't show up in 2018 at all even if you were on the same platform as well, On top of that it took them long enough to come back in this game universally on all platforms.

- The plot behind this campaign pack is meh, Nothing groundbreaking or amusing to be honest.
- The characters aren't so special, They're just average NPCs that happen to ever so slightly stand out from the rest, Not very memorable.
- There's ONE exclusive assassination challenge per target, There's nothing more beyond that apart from the generic "Eliminate The Target" challenge that comes with every target.

If you deeply think about it: This is literally just a paid XP booster in the disguise of filler missions, besides that the game is packed to the brim with a variety of challenges so you don't even need to touch this.

I can only excuse buying this if you're a completionist / die hard fan of the game or because you're a collector, Other than that I don't think there's any point to buying this because it should've been a part of the game for free and not five bucks.

This very game holds a special place in my heart because it kickstarted my Unreal Engine modding and game development journey and I'm eternally grateful for it. My first exposure to the game is when I saw YouTubers showcase this game around 2022 (When the game initially released) with custom characters like John Wick or Daredevil etc. beating enemies up with actually good looking animations, Which was more than enough to have me sold on the game (Not to mention that I'm a huge fan of anything fighting related and revenge stories) so I ended up getting the game and played it a lot.

Back when the game released it left a lot to be desired, There wasn't much replayability to it if you got all clues and both good/bad endings on the three total save slots you were pretty much done really, It's a revenge story game with no "deep layers of lore" so all you do is beat everyone up (while looking cool at it) and deal with those bosses that had a hand in killing your father and the failed attempt of killing you, It's nothing mindblowing but the story certainly doesn't shine because the limelight is stolen by the combat system, smooth animations and the level design in my opinion. Modding was a great remedy for the "lack of content" issue until the devs expanded it by adding challenges / cheats, more achievements and most importantly the Arenas, but that was way later by the time the Steam release dropped anyway so we just replayed the story with custom characters.

Shortly after getting the game and dying a lot in it (lol, took a while for me to adapt to the game) I learned how to dabble in the dark arts of Unreal and the first thing I did was put none other than the Payne to the Max in the game as a homage to Kenneth Yeung's Kung-Fu mod for the first Max Payne game, and I thought that was the coolest homage I could've made for a childhood franchise that I also adore. That also motivated me to keep making way more character mods from popular franchises like Street Fighter, TEKKEN, Batman Arkham etc. Because by that point with Unreal Engine; The sky and your imagination (and your computer specs, lol) are the limit, if you knew the how-to you could just do whatever you wanted (Thanks Tim)

(Speaking of; You can get those mods on my Nexus Mods page, Pretty sure you saw them in YouTube videos and gamer news sites like Destructoid and DualShockers ^_^)

Another thing to mention is that it's a REALLY WELL optimized game, My PC specs aren't particularly the best and I averaged 120FPS with Ultra settings on 1080p which is very impressive especially for an indie dev team effort.

So afterwards I kept going in serving the community with cool mods allowing for the crazy what-if's mashups and video ideas, It was arguably one of the best highlights of my modding career and it felt good doing mods for others to enjoy, I also learned a considerable bit about the engine which is always a plus. :D

I'm afraid a "Thank you Sloclap" wouldn't be enough, but just know that I love this game so much for practically changing my life to the better and helping me become a better modder and aspiring game developer. <3
(And waste over five thousand hours on Blender but that's besides the point, lmao)

I got it for free lmao

I've always been a fan of Hotline Miami so I'll obviously welcome Jacket's return into the game, but the game's servers are down (at the time of writing this review) so I can't even play him 💀

EDIT: They revoked it, ♥♥♥♥ me I guess I'll buy it 💀💀💀💀

ANOTHER EDIT: I got it lol, now if you already claimed the free package (By technicality they removed the app linked to it from Steam so you basically have Schrödinger's Jacket Character Pack) go into your Account Details > View Licenses and Product Activations, click remove on "DNU_2_PAYDAY 3: Jacket Character Pack" then buy the DLC or have someone gift it to you

Early Access Review
Just like everyone else says - This game is very relaxing and looks really pretty - it's also the type of game you'd play after having a hard day at work and you want to chill with something simple

The 110 bucks I've spent on this amazing game were definitely well worth it, Stunning graphics, Great story, The same fun Mortal Kombat trademark gameplay and you can play as the one and only JCVD, What else could you ask for? I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Oh yeah, Back 4 Blood; the spiritual successor(? People seem to disagree) to the Left 4 Dead series, I want to start off by saying this game is SO FREAKING FUN, I haven't had that much fun in a zombie game for a long time, lemme talk more about it:

-Graphics and level design look really good, The city areas look decent and the forests look beautiful
-Character design is pretty cool, The character themselves have unique abilities tied to them which change your playing experience (Extra health, Ridden spotting, etc.)
-Levels get progressively harder the more you progress through, with secondary objectives to complete for extra rewards
-Gunplay is fun, Weapons feel powerful and there's a customization system that allows you to put attachments on your firearms for perks such as quick reload speed, more range, etc.
-The cards deck system allows you to make all sorts of play styles that you want to have fun (or torture) with which makes the game interesting every time you start a new Campaign run
-Swarm game mode which allows you to play with the Ridden against Cleaners and vice versa, akin to L4D's Versus game mode
-Supply Lines allow you to buy cards, customization items for your profile, characters and weapons from Supply Points you gain from playing Campaign or Swarm, etc. Personally I think this is an okay feature, I'll always take grinding for items over paying for micro-transactions any day of the week
-If your friend owns a DLC that you don't have, you'll enjoy the DLC's content with your teammate (Ridden Hives for example, this system works the same way as PAYDAY 2), This is a neat touch

B4B is a homage to L4D but despite all that, I wouldn't prefer it over L4D, Both are really good games but L4D always takes the cake, However I recommend the game (and preferably with friends since random teammates are a huge gamble) but I strongly suggest you to buy it on a sale.
