Let me start by saying the games concept is great and has alot of potential.
The ghost hunting you as you try to use various tools at your disposal to try to find the ghosts location and type is quite the thrill,at first.

The atmosphere and tension as your sanity drains and the ghost becomes more agressive over time is really fun and immersive.And the use of EMFs,Salt,UV,Spirit box (aka walkie ghostie) is fun and engaging.

The various ghost types make the game bit more diverse which is good.

However you`ll soon realize that it is basicly the same repetitive task over and over,and no mater what ghost it is.However they patched the ghosts speed to be faster and lockers are no longer a safe heaven,thus giving atleast some tension which it needed...

This guy has done great work by introducing this game,however the constantly muttered "it`s only one guy" excuse for lack of content or mod support to help with the former is ignorant at this point.The game has sold well over what even the dev expected (as per his statement) and has the capital to hire additional staff,or even just buddies to help build on the game,however as of this writing it is yet to be,as content is very slow and lacking and while i appreciate the bug fixing which is allways good,this game in it`s nature,needs more content and i would advise the dev to atleast work on mod support on the side,or get some people to help with it,as it will help alot with the content preassure he has on him,and at this rate the game suffers from repetive gameplay hugely (i myself stoped playing for this reason as it just feels more like a chore than a game,but i clocked 200+ so take that for what you will).

Do not understand me wrong,the game is awsome,and i love the dev and his dedication,but please think about it.I really wish this game the best success so is why i am here writing this tho i do not write reviews that often.

In conclusion should you get this game? Yes it is a good game,hella creepy at first too,but its current replay value isn`t up to near it`s potential,so be aware of that.

First of all i can tell you that the game itself is quite good,visuals are great,audio is top notch.(minus the glitches)
The gameplay itself has a choose your way cind of aproach and the sidequests.unlike some games i know,eheem PRESTON,are actualy fleshed out and interesting.

Overall great game,which is why the next portion hurts me to admit...

The games current state is ABSOLUTE shaite,completely unacceptable,itspecialy from a company we all cherished and which stood for quality-CDPR...
Bugs,glitches,getting stuck in alot of places forcing a reload like scanner,geometry,missions untrigerable due to bugs...AJ died from smashing into a wall...well i died just RUNNING no enemies no nothing nearby,literally death by air...speaking of which,sometimes enemies can hurt you even through cover,that is a load of bull***t,itspecialy considering the games akward mouse movement and controlls general...
I can`t believe CDPR gave in to the overgrown manbabies crying "WE WANT IT NOW" and pushed it before it was ready.
Shame on you!!!

Let this serve as a lesson to you CDPR,let the manbabies cry and focus on your actual fans and your game quality and i really from all my heart hope you`ll learn from this...dont be the next bethesda please...

It too tried to release a unpolished/unfinished game,see what happened to them?your game is no doubt muuuuch higher quality,but the efins action is the same....is it ready? is it tested? WHO CARES flush it out,we got crybabies askin for it (and even worse) idiots that send death threats (for the simplest things too,those moronic barbarians should be ga**ed in a gass chamber really,sorry for the harsh comment on it i really hate when innocent devs that just work the game dont even control any bad decisions,take the frontal abuse from these MOFOs!) Nobody deserves the hate like that,but CDPR just please dont next time okay?And yes i know some of you will accuse this of beeing a money thing,and i understand,but under no circumstances does that allow to abuse the DEVS themselves,that is just pure cruelty,hence my comment,ive seen enough of this bs before.

However is it money,is it pressure from the manbabies?
Likely both,but problem with manbabies is that it was allready delayed 2 times so i think they were the primary influance,correct if im wrong.

I still overall recommend the game as it is awsome,but since there is no "wait til sale or fixes" rating ill give it a thumbs up,this is the only time i and many others will CDPR,so get your sh** together,you`re better than this.

Now that the game has been released i am re-writing my review and i really don`t recommend this game anymore for the following reasons:

This game has one of the worst and unfun malee combat systems i have ever seen, which makes 7DTD look polished in comparison. Zombies can stunlock you hard by spamming their overused ground smash constantly or chopper flinging at you, interrupting your swings CONSTANTLY. Fighting anywhere near a wall (specially doors/ tight hallways) is a joke, you will constantly collide with the walls, while the zeds obviously won`t.

Difficulty settings are unbalanced, Legend in particular, the very definition of tediousness where resource gathering is a chore (minimum amount for everything) zombies take kajillion hits to down and are overpowered. Take that with the garbage malee combat and you`ll notice you would have more fun in dark souls on max difficulty with your arms tied behind your back and you blindfolded while your stereo system is unplugged and your controls inverted.

Hitbox issues specially with malee, but ranged has its own problems like hiting invisible walls or not registering a simple long shot which on second shot magically hits even on SP.

Story is generic and boring, and the poor translations don`t do it any favours.

The map design is puzzling to say the least. So many places are fenced in a weird and needless way needing you to waste time going around. In addition you`ll have to travel long distances to get to places and unless you take the long way around with roads you`ll quickly notice the same copy & paste casms that`ll make traveling this tedious map even more of a chore!!

TLDR: Don`t waste your time on this jankfest and go play any other generic zombie survival game rather than this.
