Haven't finished it yet but this is 100% my game of the year. Was worried about how different this was feeling to older Yakuza titles, then my first substory was about catching a public urinator who caused a piss rainbow to appear, and my fears were put to rest.

Following the release and first series of patches for Shadowbringers, I can now say this without a shred of doubt. Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is one of the best Final Fantasy games and story period, never mind one of the best if not THE best MMO on the market today. The only downside is playing through ARR to reach the good bits, but they're alleviating that problem soon.

One of the best RPGs of all time, and really delivers on the choice of being a Sith or Jedi for once, a rare thing in a Star Wars game. It's a shame that SWTOR basically kills any hope for a KOTOR III

EARLY ALPHA REVIEW: RECOMMENDED
Simple, fast and fun in it's current form, Vector Thrust is a fun game to play, even in it's current early access state. If you are thinking about getting it, I would get it before the current sale on it runs out, as I feel £20 is somewhat steep for the game as it is now, although I got it for cheaper due to being an alpha supporter when the game was solely on Desura. Overall, the game runs well on my low to mid tier PC, and looks stunning in it's own way, the cel shaded graphics giving the game a charm of it's own, and helping to counter any points of it being an Ace Combat clone. Although inspired by such games as Ace Combat, Vector Thrust is a game in it's own right, and not just a direct imitation. I'd recommend it to any players of the older AC games (anything before Assault Horizon, really.) and fans of the arcade jet fighter style in general.
NOTE: This review was when the game was on Desura, and in alpha early access. I would not buy this game now, especially with the other reviews rolling in.
FULL RELEASE REVIEW: NOT RECOMMENDED

A superb, silly game. A good way of describing it is Monty Python meets Super Monkey Ball meets a small part of Tower Defence. And for the price it's at, even without a sale, it is well worth your time. Littered with history jokes (The 300 Spartans, Vlad The Impaler's level starting with a Castlevania reference and such) this game is good for a laugh, and the gameplay is solid too.
