I usually don't write real reviews on games because I don't find the purpose anymore. I am writting this as giving my take on all of the three 'Class of '09' games because the main reason people are mad at this game is because of the short content of it ( if they cannot relate to the games events ). Even though this is a fair judgement regarding the price of this single game. You still needed to play the previous games before buying it.

I cannot deny how chilling the reality of this dark satire is. I feel like these game series are pretty well written and fills up an emotionnal hopelessness in a good way. I was too young in '09 actually but these game makes the late 2000's general american culture easily accessible and relatable even as someone that does not live in the United States. I feel like I would enjoy the game more if I was born a decade earlier but this is totally optionnal for the enjoyment of the games.

As I said a lot of elements of this game are unfortunately still a thing, some VAs like Jecka's dad are actually terrifying. Most of the character including Nicole are people that we can barely have some type positive emotions towards them but in this game, Jecka kinda breaks this wall even tho we saw her having concerning choices. I encourage you to play all the games and read all the text messages including the credits. The developper of theses games know what the actual ♥♥♥♥ is he talking about and I think The Flipside is a great conclusion to the Class of '09 games.

Oh and last thing, Class of '09 mix really well with traumas & depression. Thank you
