Played this awhile ago on my phone, and enjoyed it, but never finished it just due to the nature of mobile gaming. Gladly picked it up on here, since I can now binge-read as desired! Definitely recommend, especially while it's on sale!

Another long time player, been here since beta, and I absolutely love SWTOR. It's one of my favorite MMOs, and I was thrilled to see it added to steam! It has some absolutely amazing storylines (the Sith storylines, especially, are wonderful), in both the base game and the expansions, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

If Minecraft had a baby with a sidescrolling sandbox RPG set in space, I'm pretty sure that Starbound is what it would look like. I mean, I'm more than halfway sure that's what actually happened, but. XD Anyway, if you enjoy sandbox games, exploring games, building games, and like a bit of plot to go with! This is the game for you!

This is an absolutely amazing game, and definitely my favorite visual novel that I have ever played. The characters are all wonderfully complex; your romance options in this game are absolutely not cardboard cut outs, but in fact fantastic characters in their own right. They're all unique, deeply flawed in their own way, and yet (mostly) you'll end up falling in love with them before all is said and done. The storylines are also beautifully complex, with unique twists for each route, while an overarching theme weaves its way through them all as well. The voice acting is wonderful, and I loved listening to the lines, even though my Japanese is a bit rusty, ffff.

Now, praise given, I do have two critiques for this game. The first is fairly simple; the skip function is not the best I've ever seen, not by a long shot. Since I wanted to find every possible ending for each route, I spent a lot of time manually skipping through scenes that I'd already been through multiple times, because the skip feature plays through the full audio for every line before moving on to the next. It would have been nice to have a faster skip function.

My biggest critique, however, is the Diamond route. I really wish it would have offered more chances to make choices throughout this route, but that's not my biggest issue with it. My biggest issue is the way the 'good' ending was handled, and the way it romanticized an abusive relationship. For those who have issues with, or are triggered by, non-con and dub-con, be forewarned; you might want to avoid the Diamond route, and especially the Diamond route 'good' ending.

Explicit spoilers ho;
Toma is an abuser. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about this. I'll start with the biggies; not only does he lace the heroine's food with drugs to keep her sleeping and docile, he literally locks her up in a dog cage 'for her own protection.' There is absolutely no way this could be viewed as anything other than abuse. This is explicitly against the heroine's consent. This cannot be excused, no matter how much Toma thinks that he's in the right. Toma threatens to rape the heroine; some might try to argue he didn't mean it, but I would point them to the bad ending where Toma literally keeps the heroine as a living doll in bondage to him as proof that he is capable of and willing to rape her.

Toma takes advantage of the heroine's amnesia and pretends to be her boyfriend, even though he thinks that she's dating another character. Toma forces her to stay with him, carefully keeping it a secret and keeping her out of contact with others. Toma physically hurts her in one scene, when he finds her out of his house without his permission, dragging her painfully by one arm back into his house and shouting at her. Later, when he returns home to find the heroine in her cage but injured, clearly having managed to get out, Toma forces her out of the cage and forces her to strip to her underwear so he can look at her wounds, rather than actually taking her to the hospital or a doctor to be treated. Toma pins her down in this state, telling her clearly that he doesn't care about her pain; it's at this point, when he has her at her most vulnerable, that Toma threatens to rape her, and tells her that he doesn't care if he breaks her. The only reason Toma doesn't make good on his threat? Is because, while pinning her down, he knocks her diary loose, and sees her entry from July that she loved him.

All of this- all of this, takes place in the 'good' ending of this story route. (Even worse things happen in the bad route.) And the absolute worst of it all is that.... the heroine, in the most clear cut case of Stockholm Syndrome I've ever seen, magically decides she doesn't care about all the abuse Toma has heaped on her, because 'he did it to protect her,' and she 'loves' him.

There is nothing good, or romantic, or okay about what happens in the Diamond route. There is no redeeming what was done, and the perpetrator deserves to be locked behind bars, not enjoying a happily ever after. It sickened me, to find out what the 'good' ending of this route was, physically made me feel ill. It horrifies me that the writers just handwaved it as okay because it was 'all for her own good.' I would love to see it addressed and corrected, although I hold no hopes for it.

This was an absolutely enchanting game to play, and I haven't even finished all the routes yet. While initially I thought I was going to hate the main character, once the story got going, it was wonderful to see her flesh out and grow as a character. I love how different the stories are for the different routes, and I look forward to going through the other stories and finding out how everything turns out!

As a note: I did end up needing to find a guide to get happy endings, but they're available on the game wiki, and it was well worth going through again to get those good endings!

This is not the Ticket To Ride game you play at a game night, this is a mock up of the game created for young children. I'm glad I didn't pay much for this. If I'd bought it through Steam, I'd have already refunded it.

If you're a fan of the hard copy game Ticket To Ride, keep this in mind; this version of the game is for small children, not adults.

Early Access Review
I absolutely love this game, and would definitely recommend it! It's a lot of fun, whether it comes to scrounging up materials to build your raft with, or farming & fishing to keep yourself fed and watered! I can't wait until my friends get the game either, because I definitely look forward to playing co-op mode!
