After playing The Crew 1 recently, I took a look at The Crew 2 once again to see if it's still bad. I've come to the conclusion and decided to repost my review on this game.
My conclusion: This game got EVEN WORSE.
Here's why:

But first,
Pros:
+ Different types of vehicles to use (cars, boats, planes, motorcycles, hovercraft, & helicopters)
+ Different weather and a day/night cycle
+ Traveling from coast to coast can be done in all vehicles
+ Soundtrack is decent, I mean some songs are trash, but the soundtrack as a whole has variety
+ There are quite a bit of cars not seen in most modern racing games (whether it be cars that are no longer licensed or cars we have never seen before. Example: Mercedes-Benz/McLaren SLR).

Cons:
- Storyline and voice acting is terrible
- Single player racing feels boring and repetitive
- The A.I. can have annoying rubberbanding (yes, rubberbanding exists in this game).
- Physics and camera movement are confusing
- For PVP, you can only pick street racing or mixed racing (no offroad, freestyle, or pro racing options)
- You cannot buy better performance parts from a performance shop; instead you have to earn them buy winning events, which is a big grind since the events are repetitive.
- I don't like how Summit rewards are a one-time-only deal (once the Summit event is over, you can no longer receive that item, not even buy it or trade for it).

Now, here's why this game is WORSE than its predecessor:
x Although the map is still huge, it's worse than The Crew 1's map. (Where did Chicago Airport go? Why is there a drift course laid out all over Miami Airport?)
x Instead of buying one car once and then buying different specs for it to be used in different race types, you now have to buy the same car AGAIN for each race type!
x What happened to the cops? Did they vanish all of a sudden? Is this a parallel universe where cops don't exist? Is it just an excuse to make street racing a "legit" thing? Or is it because the developer couldn't be bothered including them with all this other content that no one cares about?
x The Crew's 'crew' feature? Yeah, that's useless now. The series is officially in an identity crisis. (The crew 1 was all about participating in illegal racing and stopping bad guys, The Crew 2 is all about motorsports and getting famous.)
x I remember from one of their community posts that they advertise their content updates as "free content". But from what I've seen, every single one of those additions require CC (crew credits), which can be obtained by either grinding your life for it or by... (oh god) BUYING THEM! Yes, this game's microtransactions are what get you more content; you cannot buy them with Bucks (the game's primary currency). The Crew 1's add-ons were simply paid DLCs.
x In The Crew 1, you still have to win events to earn better performance parts, but there was a thing called 'skill events', which were so easy to do and they were scattered around the map. Once you earn that part, it will be added to the spec shop of the car you earned it in. That's how you would increase your car's performance. In the Crew 2, you have to win the annoying races to get better parts or by finding them in hidden areas; the latter doesn't happen frequently and they don't keep re-appearing.
x The Crew 1's graphics were much better. Bad, but much better.

Overall, I would only recommend this game if you love driving around big maps with lots of detail in a variety of different vehicles (especially with other players), interested in re-creating a Top Gear episode, or if you ever wanted to re-create a Forza Horizon showcase event. Other than that, avoid this game at all costs. Actually, if you are interested in doing any of that, you're better off getting The Crew 1 + Calling All Units DLC. Yes, you lose the ability to fly planes and drive boats, but trust me, you'll enjoy that more than this garbage.

Early Access Review
"I woke up in the kitchen, somehow. Maybe it was from my addiction of drinking. I found a note on the fridge saying that I should rebuild my dad's old car instead of sitting on the couch all day if I want a car for my own use. They also pointed out that I am not allowed to drink. How would I rebuild something that probably hasn't been used in a million years? Where will I get the parts? That's when I remembered that all of the parts for the car were sitting in the garage for all of these years, collecting rust. I'm suprised that every single part still functions. I hate my job as a poop collector, but it'll have to do if I want to complete all of my tasks. The people who live in my area are always drunk and can't drive for s**t, but whatever. Throughout my journey of building this car, I had to drink, flip people off, become their slave, witness a few fatal car accidents, pee everywhere, and drink lots and lots and lots of beer. I plan to turn this car into a fast rally car and compete in a dream I've always dreamed of, which is a rally."

"PS: I was literally born in this car."

I love this game so much!!! XD

The mirrors dont work, the steering is sloppy, you have very little visibility, you get randomly fined, and there arent that many cities compared to real life

If you're tired of the average fps and everyone calling u a loser, this is the game for you. it's so funny that u dont need to tell that person he's a loser because the characters do it for you.

SHORT REVIEW:
Singleplayer:
+ Great.
Multiplayer:
- New content lacks hype.
- Overpowered vehicles never get nerfed as more come to the game. (The Oppressor Mk1 and Oppressor Mk2 are the biggest examples)
- Abusive "passive mode".
- Game-breaking and privacy-invading modders everywhere.
- Overpriced microtransactions.
- Too much grinding.
- Why is there a K/D ratio in free roam?.
- Phone calls from in-game characters are annoying.

LONG REVIEW:
The game in its current state is really sad. This review targets the online mode of this game.
The content that R* is adding to the game either doesn't get my attention too much, is disappointing, or is frustrating.

In the trailers for the content, they show a lot. But when you get to experience all of it, it doesn't offer everything that the trailers did. The war vehicles were poorly designed. The jets and the armored cars & trucks are way too overpowered and people will abuse them and make fun of you because it's nearly impossible to kill them! As of July 2018, they keep adding MORE overpowered vehicles as time goes on! I'm starting to think that they don't care about free roam anymore. None of these vehicles have been fixed.

Passive mode is also VERY abusive. If someone killed you a bunch of times and then you finally kill him/her, he/she will immediately go into passive mode. Who's brilliant idea was that? Not only are they abusive for K/D ratios, but also abusive for advantages for getting back their overpowered vehicles! If you killed someone (let's say in a jet), they will go into passive mode until they are in their vehicle and ready to fight again!

The modders..........OMG THE MODDERS!! They will flood the map with props in your way and invincible vehicles that players will abuse to kill other players. Sometimes they can also rain down money randomly (which is probably a good thing for players because you would normally have to grind to get money).
5/12/2021: Not only can modders ruin the game experience, but they can identify your IP address too! This is an invasion of privacy that allows moders to 1: pinpoint where you are IRL, and 2: potentially DDOS you. It's an illegal practice that R* won't get rid of.

Shark cards (the game's microtransactions) are too expensive. $100 FOR 8 MILLION IN GAME MONEY?!! THAT WILL ONLY GET YOU ONLY A FEW DECENT ITEMS! Even if you DID spend it wisely, you will lose it anyway because everything is becoming more and more expensive, and some of those expensive items are trash! Not only that, but if you didn't buy the most expensive shark card, it takes forever to earn the right amount of money, which some people don't have the time to do.

"They don't have to grind money to get the new content! They can just play the game without all of the cool & expensive stuff!" Yeah, but wouldn't the game start getting boring if you do that? We want to play with new content, but we don't want to waste tons of real life money or grind for hours!

8/2/2018: Tryhards are another virus to the game. The only thing they care about is their free roam K/D, which is completely useless in free roam because anyone can rank up their K/D just from driving around and killing everyone they see. The experienced tryhards will kill themselves before you can kill them because the K/D only applies to kills and deaths by players, not the environment or yourself. Again, anyone can get a high K/D JUST from running around and killing anyone they see.

Singleplayer, however, is really good. It's probably the only thing that is keeping this game healthy.

5/12/21: Seriously, if we all STOP buying shark cards and if we don't buy the game for the latest consoles, R* will have to listen to us. Let them know we want a new Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, Red Dead, Midnight Club, or any other IP, but we have to speak with our money, not our voices! Rockstar Games is a great company (my personal favorite), but if we keep feeding them money, they won't care about YOU!

PS: Leslie Benzies, Dan Houser, and Lazlow Jones, you three will be remembered for your great work.
