I’ve only just started but the story, combat, and mini-games are all a blast so far. Hope it stays this good all the way through.

Sons of the Forest had potential but ultimately feels like a chore. Exploration lacks meaningful rewards, often leaving you wondering if your efforts were worth it. AI companions, especially Kelvin, can be more of a liability than a help. The gameplay loop becomes repetitive quickly, with little incentive to keep going.

Sons of the Forest aims to be bigger but fails to be better. It expands on ideas from the original but loses the essence of what made it fun.
