Marvel Rivals is the game Overwatch 2 wishes it could be. Here’s why:

Meaningful Progression:
Unlike Overwatch 2’s battle pass grindfest, Marvel Rivals feels rewarding every step of the way. Character unlocks and customizations are earned through engaging gameplay rather than being locked behind a paywall.

Balanced and Unique Characters:
The roster in Marvel Rivals isn't just diverse—it's synergistic. Every hero has a unique identity, true to their Marvel lore, and the teamplay feels dynamic rather than chaotic. Compare that to Overwatch 2’s often one-note metas, and the difference is night and day.

Fair Monetization:
Marvel Rivals doesn’t nickel-and-dime its players. Cosmetics and extras are reasonably priced (and achievable through gameplay), unlike Overwatch 2’s overpriced skins that leave you wondering if Blizzard forgot it’s not 2016 anymore..

I won't talk about the visuals and story of the game, it's something everyone already knows. The developers still supporting this game while designing Witcher 4. Plus they recently announced that mod support is coming.

TLDR; Overall the game follows in the footsteps of the first trilogy, get it at a discounted price. (I don't recommend the DLCs, it's not worth the additional quests + costumes.)

After the first two games of the trilogy, the game started to feel much easier, even though it was much better visually. I'm not quite sure if it's easier because I'm used to the mechanics or if it's really easier but for example, in some missions I succeeded in SA/SO on my first try. Quest items and escape routes seem to be placed in more accessible places than in the first two games. If you are hunting achievements, master level achievements have been removed for this game.

In terms of atmosphere, I was very detached from the story compared to the second game, when it is considered as a single mission, all of them actually seem successful, but when I played it back to back, I had a hard time following the story.

Edit: It is hopeful that the makers of the game still haven't left the game after their ridiculous Dlc ideas. The new game mode can add a new spice up to the game, don't miss out on the discounted price.

I wish there was a %50 recommended button. I just played this game for over 600+ hours, bought countless DLC's and I still can't decide. I guess I'd say this game hasn't aged well but It becomes really cheap on sale days. Give it a chance, you won't lose much..

Incredible visuals but learning curve is bigger than any game I have ever played. If you like hard but rewarding games and space start immediately because new DLC is coming in early 2021 and you can even get out of your ship and walk in space! 9/10
