I speak for everybody when I say we will NOT be playing this mod until they remove random crits, remove team scramble, remove alltalk, remove the server browser in favor of quickplay, enforce class limits, and add aimbots/idle bots to all of the servers.

I hate this game but it’s pretty good sometimes

the classes in this game are hilariously unbalanced and the maps are awful.
ops is boring but the trials of gnomus is interesting, I guess..
the only real upsides this one has over gw1 are the improved hp regen system, the new characters, and the backyard battleground.
this lazy port also has several unobtainable achievements from events that have long been inactive.

regardless of my criticisms, the game itself is fundamentally broken and unplayable.
EA's "anti cheat" does absolutely nothing.
script kiddies can do anything they please online, ranging from playing modded/unused characters and bosses or just straight up instakill the entire server and pause the match timer so you are stuck in purgatory forever (assuming the server didn't already crash).
It only takes one bad apple to completely ruin a server, and there's no vote kick system to boot them either.
I've never seen an online multiplayer game stoop this low before.

It was a blast in its prime, but with the sorry state the game is left in now, I can't recommend anybody waste their money on this garbage.


update: the cheaters can now ban your account so you can't even play the game you paid for, all they need is your username (which is visible to everybody in an online lobby).
