As a long time fan of the Final Fantasy series, I can say this game is pretty disappointing. Just completely lackluster delivery of a major AAA title. That being said, 70 hours of my time played has been on just the side quests alone, most of which is just killing monsters. The story is meh, and can actually be done in less than 20 hours, sadly. Last I checked (still haven't played episode Ardyn yet), there was still a memory leak issue, making this game unplayable at good visual settings. I would only buy it if you can get it on a major sale (DON'T pay full retail price!), and if you don't mind likely not being able to play on full graphic settings so that your game doesn't crash. It does also have some little bugs here and there, so be sure to save often.

Addition: As of 11/30/2022, the game runs a little better, though I also have more powerful hardware than when I first played the game. The memory leak issue isn't as bad as it used to be, I can game for a couple hours now on recommended settings. However, still have an issue where it will crash randomly after a couple hours of playing. Story is still lackluster, no surprise.

While many are on the band wagon about no paid dlc stuff, the game itself is actually pretty decent. There are a few somewhat questionable choices when it comes to changes between the first Rage and Rage 2, but overall, I think they did a decent job of trying to mesh new and old ideas together to create a different game. as mentioned previously, paid dlc/coin stuff is going to be a big reason why many people are going to downvote this game, you can play this game without the extra coins and such anyways.

That being said, I would recommend buying this game while it's on sale to get the most bang for your buck. Merry mutant hunting.

This game has always been great, but with the "remastered" version, there are a few tweaks that have been done to definitely make this game more of an 'install and play' game, without any odd tweaks to your sound to get it to work, and some graphical improvemnts as well.

Like the original version, I give this one an 11/10.

Sadly, I wanted to like this game. I liked the first one, and absolutely loved the second one.... But this game is unplayable. I had hoped that the bad things I had heard about it upon release had been fixed, especially since it's been a couple of years. However, it seems that Code Masters has a shiny turd here. The graphics are pretty good, from what I could play of it, and the races actually loaded pretty well. BUT, you can only go in a straight line. That's right, you can't really turn your car. And trying to brake and turn? Forget about it. The car will only go straight. If someone ever fixes the issue with this game, I would be willing to give it another chance, but for now, this shiny turd gets 3.5/10.

Edit, 10/1/23; Mistakenly decided to try this game again after many years. I definitely regret not getting my money back when I had the chance. Goofy game mechanics that make the game difficult to play how you want, such as braking randomly or having to have ALL of the helper systems on (like abs or traction control) or you just spin out/crash at every corner make it difficult for no reason. The mechanics of this game have definitely made it unplayable. The first time, I thought it was me. Now I know it's the game. Real review score: 0.5/10. RIP my money and time

Very short. Very interesting. You get to choose the path of four different people, which in turn influences the outcome your character gets.

Early Access Review
Edit: Not as great as everyone claims. Plus, it's been done before. Unoriginal and very poorly optimized. Very clunky interface. I didn't play online, but, I have heard some bad things about playing online, such as higher level people just immediately killing you off, or if you join a tribe, then you get kicked out after you start acculating/crafting some of the better things. The whole idea of everytime you die and having to start all over again doesn't appeal to me. There's no way to save progress, and just about everything can kill you, and you die VERY easily.

While the game shows promise, there's just too much wrong with it for me to continue to play it.

If you decide you got frustrated later, can't say I didn't warn you.

There should be a mixed review button. While I really enjoy this game, I have finally gotten fed up with trying to complete heists over and over again to meet with the same result: Failure. All because of the armored and turreted swat van. I give up Overkill. You win.

If you like GTA, you'll like this game. Has a few more details then GTA. Personally, One of my favorite games, though main story should have been longer. Does have lots of side missions and extras that can be completed. While done in a GTA style, definitely has a different sort of feel of it's own.

Definitely one of my favorite games. I would recommend it to anyone that likes shooters with RPG elements.
