Fun little game. Easy to get into, and start blasting robots.

-Controls are great. Nice fluid movement.

Some suggestions
-Enemies are fairly varied, but fairly easy to get your head around. Many of the shots are easy to dodge. The enemy vision doesn't allow for very stealthy plays however, so often, you can not make long shots from stealth. They will immediately see you, and start shooting.
-Some of the enemy logic gets stuck. Enemies will sometimes just stand behind an aquarium and not know what to do.
-Some of the enemies will walk out of shields to attack you, rather than stay in the safety of the shields...

Levels
-The levels are very basic, and the path to the boss is VERY linear. I had them memorized by the third or fourth playthrough. Adding some sort of multiple path / towards health vs weapons vs perks would make things far more interesting, and give the players a choice of path.. the better players will be able to skip weapon / health rooms for more perks etc.
-There was a bit of effort put into 'ambiance' but not much. A lot of the ship is FAR too clean, for what is being portrayed, and when there are props, they have a definite 'just drop it here' kind of vibe, leading to level design feeling 'good enough' rather than great.

The power ups are fun, but need to be flashier / eye candier. XD

Overall, a great demo. I'll be buying the full game, despite my minor complaints. Just a quick run and gun that is fun to play, which is the most important aspect of any game.

All around great game... especially for the kiddies. Super cute, relaxing, and fun to explore. Could have used a bit more complexity, but that really isn't a complaint, so much as my brain wanting to play a bit more. :) One thing that stands out is just how nice it is to play.. the movement is butter smooth and becomes second nature within moments. Definitely worth a play.

Just a joy to play. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and the story is a mix of recognizable... but tried and true tropes. It recaptures that one man army feeling in spades, without being too technical or difficult. Can't recommend this game enough.

One of the key elements to any well made game, is it's underlying ability to suspend disbelief. Those moments you forget you are watching a screen, and find yourself looking outwards, from within the story, are the reason we adventure.

Subnautica is one of those adventures.

It isn't long before you are ticking through a mental checklist, gathering your wits, and hoping for the best. For any fan of the survival genre, this is a must play game.
