Literally the best sp game ever made.Carefully and passionately written,it delivers everything you could want with a genuine atmosphere.The DLC is what all DLC should be like,a second half of a game.
This is perfection.

I feel compelled to leave a review for the sole belief that if a developer is going to do a Vietnam game,you gota do it right.I,along with many others waited and waited for a proper Vietnam game to come to light after the original... one and only... Battlefield Vietnam,before EA went corporate.Bad company 2's expansions was the closest thing to greatness since.This game is devoid of everything heartfelt about the war.It tries to be tactical,and overcomplicates itself.At the end of the day its a run and gun.Sounds are mediocre,graphics are acceptable but the core gameplay is empty and missing depth and replay value.This is is confused with many people saying there is a lack of maps.The problem is there is a lack of great maps.It only takes 3 great maps and people will never expect more.De dust 2 and Hue fron BFV stood the test of time.Helicopter controls are probably more complicated than flying a real helicopter.The engine itself is sluggish,and the interacting with the environment can be very buggy and slow.
Through out development it seemed to me the people working on the game between Tripwire and antimatter butt heads on which way the game wanted to go.And in doing so compromised for eachother to get to a middle ground,and in doing so nullified anything creative or ambitious in the process.
I came back after 3 months to try and fall in love with the game,and the patches have made it worse in terms of how the game is played.An example....If you have the skill to run and gun as a commander you should be able to.Now you have to rely on radiomen to be around to be a successful commander,because only the first two bases have radios.Its impractical,and again...overcomplicating things.They're trying to make a war simulation when you need to realise its still a game and if you want people to enjoy it,make sure its done exceptionally well,otherwise its a shortlived experience.
7/10 for a few months and then gets old really fast.

First part was great,second part made me sick and naseous.First time its ever happened to me from a game.I feinted and woke up with poopy pants.Replayed 10 more times with same results.Part 2 was/is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible. 1000/10.
