Elden Ring fixes all the frustrations I had with the Souls series, with a well-crafted open world. Without the choke-points and with the freedom to explore a massive world, there's always something to do. A game this artistically beautiful, and filled with a sense of adventure makes it hard to put down the controller. The game does a fantastic job of nudging you in the right direction and giving you lots to do, without making you feel too overwhelmed. From Software has struck a wonderful balance of challenge vs. reward that never really feels unfair.

Nostalgia overload! The games still hold up well with the QOL additions made to the game. So easy to keep saying "just one more game..."
