this is my favorite game in the world and i'm going to play it so much

i have been waiting for several years for this game, for some very specific reasons;

for some reason, the gaming industry seems to have an avid hatred for futurism/cyberpunk themes. there's the deus ex series, there's the shadowrun games (the last good release being on the sega freaking genesis) and that's pretty much it if you want futuristic RPG fun. literally every other roleplaying game is either medieval fantasy or set in space. at least, that's how it was until this game came along!

now, i can scratch my shadowrun itch without having to pull out a notebook and pencil to sit down and write out a tabletop adventure! i can get my fill of gritty dystopian futurism without playing through the story of deus ex for the 300th time in a row!

finally, a decent rpg that isn't set in the middle freakin' ages. it's worth the money, i'm having so much fun with it

Alright, guys. It's been some long years since the original Arma mod, and there were definitely some good times to be had. But at this point it's pretty much safe to say this game has become a failure, and a disappointment to be sure.

Save your money.

Even Don't Starve has found a way to include predatory microtransactions. This game is way different than the beta survival game I bought many years ago. Man, I'm glad I stopped playing, and honestly regret ever having supported Klei in the first place.

While you can say a lot of negative things about the game (It's grindy, it's too centered on microtransactions) but I myself can say that I've been waiting for a game exactly like this for years, and I've been really enjoying myself playing it. It's exactly like Robocraft but with cars and actual violence. It's a good creative outlet and it's a game that finally encompasses that post-apocalyptic Mad Max car mayhem fantasy I do so love with a multiplayer element. An open world is supposedly in the works, so there's hopefully a lot to look forward to for this game.

DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME. It wasted an hour and a half of my life doing nothing but loading things and nearly crashing. After it installed, I couldn't even enter the game because the character creation was broken. Nothing but low-res menus on a black background. I couldn't even select a race! Buttons were randomly blacked out and the entire thing was horribly laggy. It was an absolute monstrosity. 1/10, and they only get the 1 because the intro movie was somewhat entertaining.

This is a wonderful game. It can run on a potato battery and it requires massive amounts of thought and planning. You can get many, many hours of entertainment from it, and it's worth every single one of the very few pennies it's asked for. 10/10.
