This game is absolutely fantastic. The pacing is great, the tension is real, and the extra modes are all really fun. The puzzles aren't too difficult and not too time consuming, but they still add to the game in a fun way. The gameplay is fantastic in my opinion and the visuals are on point. The story hasn't changed a whole lot and it isn't really the focus of the game, but the characters are all so flushed out now in comparison to the original RE2. If Resident Evil 1 and 3 get remade like this I'll buy them in a heartbeat, 10/10.

This game has become one of my favourites. So much so that it's one of the only games that I've bothered to get all of the achievements for. I love everything about the game, from the world design to the bosses. My first playthrough alone took me around 120 hours.

I will admit that the overall quality drops after you get the Lordvessel. Even then, though, the game remains fantastic through and through.

Let me just start off by saying that I love this game, but the standalone expansion "Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance" offers more bang for your buck. With that being said, if you want this game for the campaign then you should get it. If you want the game just for multiplayer and skirmish matches, then get "Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance," as it outshines the original in that regard. It isn't a matter of this game being bad or unlikable, it is just that Forged Alliance offers more skirmish and multiplayer content for your money. If you're looking to play both then just get "Supreme Commander Gold Edition," as it includes both Supreme Commander and Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance.

(edit): People seem to be confused by this, so I'll say some more about this below:
Forged Alliance is a standalone expansion. You don't need the original to play it. Forged Alliance offers a new story and a new faction. It has all of the original maps and units, as well as some new stuff on the side. Forged Alliance also has a somewhat active modding community. If you want to play skirmish and/or multiplayer, Forged Alliance is a better buy. If you want the original story, Supreme Commander (the original) is a better buy. If you want both, get the "Gold Edition". I've seen it for as low as $5 on Steam. Also, I thought that I should let you know that there is no more first-party multiplayer support.
