You know... This might be the best game made in a decade.

The game is case in point that good content, beautiful graphics and good performance is still possible for the industry to achieve with no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stutters or horrendous amounts of bugs!
THANK YOU FOR NOT MAKING THIS IS UNREAL ENGINE!

How is it they've managed to cook the performance compared to FS22... 90FPS with terrible stutters to 40FPS and below every few seconds even on low settings at 1440p with an i9 12900KS, RTX 4090 and 32GB 6000MHz RAM. That is simply ridiculous performance for a so called AAA Sim. I reckon I'll be going back to FS22 this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

We've reached a point in CODs life where the graphics and effects are legendary compared to old games, but the game is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Stop trying to control my engagement with SBMM rigged matchmaking - sometimes you come off a few wins and you see the matchmaking go above 100ms ping, then you get into a lobby with three max levels on the other team and your team is useless - can't tell me that's not jewvision trying to keep you within a 1-2KDR and 1:1 W/L Ratio so you keep grinding to get it back up.

SBMM makes the game so unenjoyable, bring back random ping based lobbies, literally ♥♥♥♥♥ the whole game.

This was a bit of a stitch up because before the British update I found this not too bad, and I got to the milestone where you generally can't get a refund before the update, but since then the game has been ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Terrible FPS drops and stutters, voice chat conks out mid match and the only way to fix it is to close the game and restart meaning you'll probably lose your squad and definitely your match bonus and match bonus on the xp you got before restarting, map bugs, grass and wheat bugs. The list goes on... I feel like I got game catfished.

Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ this is just a money grab, I mean, name a F2P that isn't but the pricing on their packs is TERRIBLE. They have like a 50% off sale right now, but even then the average price for one tank/plane/boat is $30 from $60. Seeeeriously, a slightly better "virtual" boat is worth even $30? Un-♥♥♥♥♥♥-real.

Goyyyyyiiiiiimmm

New Review:
--------------------
This game came back on sale and I saw it had a lot of updates to it so I returned, I won't be refunding this time. While still a little clunky and unpolished there are now way more machines, they do work a "little" better, and the new power and wash plant stuff is crazy.

This game has a long way to go, but it's come a long way since I last played.
I'd probably still class this as an early access game tbh.

I still have some gripes, unfortunately for open pit mining it only feels efficient to use a loader, face shovels and diggers feel clunky to use in comparison, the way the controls are it's hard to do multiple functions at once for a fast dig whereas a loader can do it all at once and leave a flat dig floor where it's hard to keep the floor flat for trucks with the excavators.
Dozer's need a LOT of physics work to be useable I feel.. They are pretty much only good for pushing downwards to create ramps, sometimes the tracks get stuck in the earth or the dozer creates random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as you're pushing, not leaving flat ground where you're about to traverse, meaning when you roll forward over the lumpy earth your next area pushed is going to be a lot worse.
Rollers feel more efficient to clean up dig floors compared to graders which could use some fixing too. The blade of the dozers and graders are just too hard to use, they leave lumpy earth instead of actually fixing a patch you make it worse or just spread the problem.

This'll get a thumbs up because of the work put in and it's going places now.
I would like to also see a pre-set up creative map including good washery (similar to the one shown in the trailer) for those of us that just want to come into the game after work and dig, not have to worry about jank minecraft building some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ looking abomination.

Cheers for your efforts so far dev.

Old Review

It looked fun on YouTube but when you play it, it's pretty un-polished. The controls for machines is terribly clunky. The ground physics are painful, there is no clear tutorial or instructions on how things work and when you do look into the tutorials they are very low effort and un-explainatory. The game as a whole pretty much just screams low effort and a bunch of paid-for assets slapped together.

It looks promising but until the game achieves what it's trying to be (and actually acknowledges that it's probably in Alpha or Beta not a finished product) I'm pulling my $23 so these people can't run with it like they did when they abandoned Bergsbruk (which this game looks like a carbon copy of).

Neat idea, I applaud someone having a crack at it, it is something most of us want but it probably needs to come from a bigger developer than a bunch of guys making Farming Sim mods.
This game would've probably been better being a Construction Sim or Farming Sim mod pack with the map and mining machines than it's own stand-alone game.

Yeah this is my favourite game right now... This is leaps and bounds above any other simulator game besides Euro/American Truck Sim (hard to beat the top dog).

My favourite part is the earthworks so my pet peeve is when the actual work isn't done on the ground but the percentage gets to 100% early and completes the task and removes the Hold Y Guide, for light digging you can probably keep going till it looks how you wanted but when it's ticked off early on top soil work or more complex earth work it takes away the guide so you can't tell where you were up to, and it feels like a bit of a rip off. It would be good to toggle difficulties to have it how it is for easy mode, and as it gets harder you need the earthwork to more closer resemble the final product.

I hope the quarry work with the benches and rock crusher, offroad dumpies driving off in the distance like the post-release roadmap title artwork comes to fruition, it's less construction and more mining related but the machine appearance and controls is absolutely unseen in any other game it'll be so cool to play with it here in a mining setting where all the dirt around you can be moved instead of small patches of land. Perhaps could be worked into Lore that you work a bit of overtime at the quarry to earn some dough to set up the business (although earning money is not a problem in this game, it would be more of a challenge to tank your company). Maybe this quarry thing is already in and it's a feature I've not discovered yet, or will happen with workshop release and custom jobs, maps, mods etc but something to keep in mind. I am worried about running out of jobs eventually especially ones that involve the favourites, dozer, digger and loader.

Things I like:
The convenience of fast travel to skip mundane driving tasks, or to skip tasks altogether such as the more boring activities like crane lifts or fetch materials. I have not once been frustrated or inconvenienced by this game, it is too easy to relax and spend hours on it because it's just so easy going.
The game is beautiful, the machines and great

Constructive criticisms:
- I know in the roadmap it says for reverse head turning, but the CAT Dozer (maybe others) for sure needs the little rear vision mirror that sits on top of the middle windscreen. This is a real accessory, very much so required, impossible to see while you're reversing in first person. Either this or a reverse camera which is usually an aftermarket accessory, usually see them on the right pillar in the cab behind the door, above the ripper joystick.
- No reverse squarkers or beepers on any of the equipment? Only trucks so far.
- Taken my D8 and CAT Digger on about 3-4 jobs now and they don't seem to get dirty? There is what looks to be an in-game image as a loading screen of the D8 dirty, so I assumed it was possible but doesn't seem to be? Would be good for the machines to get dirty in one to two jobs, then maybe keeping them dirty till you get back to the yard and perhaps could have a Gerni there to wash them up. It's a little weird working a D8 for several hours, hopping out and it's sparkling clean and not even a speck of dirt on the tracks and track frame.
- A Forklift would be great for unloading things at the yard or on the work site, would save frustratingly slow crane usage on the work site. (think there's one but can only use it to load up at the shops if I'm correct? It's not in the vehicle dealer, would be nice to have it in there.)
- Definitely would have loved a Fuel truck, although that's already on the roadmap for next year.
- Camera toggle option is clunky at first without some tweaking, some of the default options in general need a re-look.
- It can be hard to use the cranes, a camera view which stays/follows the top of the rope/where the spool is OR stays on the hook might help.
- Using the concrete pumps is terrible but that might have more to do with my skill than anything, but I suspect where I slew the arm side to side it also drops the boom arms? Might be a bug or just me? I just notice as I move from side to side I need to compensate by moving the orange boom up or the grey extension arms up otherwise it hits the ground.

I'd like to see:
- Quarry/mining for fun playing with the machines, or an open area for digging, dozering, loadering, drilling at your will. There are some mods like this for Farming Sim that game is so clunky, the potential here with the graphics, actual licensed models and how well they work is awesome.
- Maybe if we run out of room to build.... Destruction content/dlc/mods? Big wrecking balls, explosives - taking down old buildings and clearing the site before building like we do already.
- Something probably less thought about ... What about railroad construction? Clearing a path, laying the rocks, laying the metal and welding them together, might be a pretty cool dlc/mod.
- Some customisatibility with the machines, say putting the company logo on the side, or a custom logo (perhaps with the ability to uplaod one?), selecting "wear marks" in the paint department, swapping to LED flashers etc.
-In-game radio with ability to upload internet channels like American Truck Sim.

Early Access Review
The network thingymawuts need sorting out, 290ms+ latency in lobbies hosted by other Aussies, connection to host lost sometimes and crashes after long sessions.
Other than that.. Pretty solid ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gameplay hey. Super fun. Ability to swap between zones like Asia Pacific, US East and West like other games might be good too.

The recipe to success of this game will just be more guns, outfit/person add ons, morerer maps and/or ability for community to make maps and this will be a big deal.

Early Access Review
The gameplay is awesome but the Multiplayer portion is dead as hell, couldn't find Quick Match or Co Op servers for 10min each in Australia, Asia, US West and US East zones. Be good if you bought it with a large group of friends to play, but yeah it's a shame not many people playing online..

The only thing this game needs to address is that it's a running simulator, needs horses or mounts, fast travel is there but it's expensive and doesn't help going from A to B in the map.

Also battling for iron veins is getting so f^cking old, please make mining nodes local not global and put it on a personal/local timer to respawn instead of running an extreme distance to find 5 other people also doing the route and cleaning up all the iron.

Also PvP is so ♥♥♥♥ if you work a job or do anything else with your life other than play this game, because the gap even between 5 or 10 levels means they 2 or 3 hit you so the nerds with nothing to do all way will always smash you, no PvP balance, that needs improving..

Edit: Changed this to negative because after levels 45-50 that's when it sinks it just how repetitive and boring the game can be. Monsters are copy and pasted just in different areas, sort of but not really unique to different areas, but the biggest gripe is that dungeons feel meh because the bosses are just copy and paste of the monsters outside just upsized and have more health, do more damage. They're not actually unique bosses, just bigger copies of what you've already been fighting.
