Full blast of nostalgia from an era I was barely lucid for! Amazing music, controls are fluid, and it's easy to find yourself, on your back, quietly saying to yourself "right on."

how to get cucked: the game

Seriously though, the game lost all appeal after playing through a second time. The second run through breaks the illusion that any decision you make has an actual affect on the last chapter. Maybe that's the point and it's "art", but I'm not here to ponder about the value of our interactions and consider the possibility that we have no real control over our relationships/the way that we are percieved.
I wanna not get cucked, just this once.

Guns of Icarus is best for those looking to be "the very best." Not for those looking for relaxed fun with friends. If you try that, you and your friends will just quit the game in your frustration and then end up retreating to another game, that you're good at, to get rid of your blue balls. Swollen berries aside, this is a great competitive game to exercise you ability to cooperate.
Guns of Icarus has three playable classes: Captain, Gunner, and Engineer. Along with piloting your airship, the Captain has to make quick choices in the mayhem of battle. Sometimes these swift decisions save you, your ship, and team's collective heiney. Gunners are pretty fun to play, but are pretty straight forward. Unlike the Captain, Gunners don't have an immense impact. Engineers are a support class and are in charge of fixing the airship and it's guns. As an Engineer, you get to do exciting actions such as: clicking on an engine, clicking on a gun (that you won't be using), and running back and forth to these spots. Ya, the Engineer is just the worst. Which really sucks because they are so necessary to keeping the airship afloat and fighting.
The game also sports a heavy steampunk style, if you're in to that sort of thing. I think the style would have worked better if they didn't try to make the landscape and characters so realistic, but that's just me. A dirty amber, brown, and bronze color scheme work well for the game's steampunk aesthetic and don't distract you from playing. That being said, the game looks good but decidedly dull. Added vibrance to the game's landscape would only do good. If we could have that, at least the Engineer would be able to gaze upon the vivid landscape from his filthy, monotonous, defecation stained excuse for a life and wonder "what if?" What if Mr. Engineer. What if.
