Kelvin and the Infamous Machine (KIM) is indeed as hilarious as its description claims. The writing is witty and has just the right amount of self-deprecation and 4th wall breaking without seeming forced. Luckily, the voice acting is on the same level and complements the writing perfectly. It's clear that the actors are professionals. Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, you should buy this game for these two factors alone.

The visuals are simple and charming and the sound design in general is competent, but nothing to write home about. I did find some of the puzzles to be obtuse and others that didn't make any sense at all, but it was totally worth the slog.

The premise of this game is what piqued my interest and I'm glad to say that it lived up to my expectations. This is a hilarious adventure that takes you to movie sets, mansions, museums, tombs, labs and more. The voice acting is spot-on and the writing is sharp. The game looks fantastic too; I really liked the 3D cel-shaded aesthetic and the animations, although not perfect, were miles ahead of other point-n-click games with stiff movements. Gameplay-wise, I admittedly had to rely on a walkthrough on occasion. But overally, I thought the puzzles were logical enough and weren't as ridiculous as other games.

I highly recommend this game to any point-and-click adventure fan. And if you've never played an adventure game before, this is a perfect place to start.

For $15, you really can't go wrong with Call of Juarez Gunslinger. Fun and frantic gunplay with enough customization and progression to keep things fresh made the story mode a blast. Speaking of which, the story is pretty interesting, and, while some people probably don't like the flashback, instant-replay style sequences, I thought they added to the feel of the game quite nicely. After all, people remember things differently. We often invent our own memories and put our own spin on the truth. There's a lot of replay value too, with a new game +, challenge modes, and lots of collectibles that will teach you about the history of the wild west.

As I said, for $15, you WILL get your money's worth and then some.

If you missed out on the Golden Ave of point and click adventure games, do buy this game. Excellent story, beautiful and immerse setpieces and great voice acting make this a game worth playing for sure. The character animations are painfully slow at times and there were a few bugs (one of which, towards the end of the game, was game breaking) but bearing with these issues is a small price to pay for a great story-rich experience. The bonus audio interviews were neat as well. 9/10
