Rend has/had promise and I wish it would have gotten further along. At the moment it is dead'ish for sure and if you guard your wallet then by all means look elsewhere. But for the price it isn't bad to play around with alongside a few friends. The world is pretty, some of the concepts are interesting, and while there are bugs and balancing issues the world will probably reset soon'ish anyway :-)

I play it mostly for the friend factor and to examine the systems for selfish game dev inspiration reasons. If I can justify it as "research" then by gosh that's my story and I'm sticking to it! ;-)
